Villa Thalia commands a position which enjoys the best views of the whole area. Perched high above the sea, the views of the South East coast are simply spectacular.
From the lounge looking out through the French Windows the infinity pool blends effortless into the sea below and the sky above creating an illusion of three shades of turquoise.
The villa is somewhat quirky in design and architecture, resembling more a Spanish design rather than Greek. On entering the front door you are met by a grand staircase of antique brick which winds up the centre of the building giving a light and airy feel. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen with oak cupboards and tiled tops. The view from the marble sink is utterly mesmerizing. All the mod cons are here such as ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave & tall fridge freezer.
Off the kitchen there is a circular dining room with lots of windows enjoying the views, and on a slightly lower level a large sitting room again of circular design. The ground floor also provides a double room and a modern family shower room.
The huge Master Bedroom of circular design is on the first floor with French windows leading out onto the very large balcony overlooking the sea. A smaller single bedroom on the first floor has a pull out sofa bed which could accommodate one large adult or 2 children or 2 small adults. Both rooms share the large family bathroom with walk in shower enjoying more spectacular views.
Less than a five minute drive into the village of Gastouri with its traditional tavernas and the famous Achilleion Palace, and a further five minutes down to the delightful resort of Benitses with its great choice of tavernas and cafes. Also Corfu Town with it's maze of historical streets is just a fifteen-twenty minute drive.
Please note that although this villa is located in a peaceful and residential area, it can suffer from resort noise between 7pm and 11pm each evening.
