"We had a lovely stay here, was perfect with the playground on the doorstep and the summer house. My daughter loved it! The pool was perfect too and was a good way to spend the afternoon. Next to our lodge is a field perfect for catching the last hour on golden sunrays. Our host was very friendly and helpful, we certainly hope to come again in the future!"

"The property fulfilled all our needs. It was comfy and quiet. Unfortunately on the last night our car, with French registration, was scraped all along the side. Clearly, parking in a public square makes one more vulnerable to such incidents. In every other way the cottage was beautifully positioned close to the church, and not far from the pub and village shop. Although we had cold, grey weather, we enjoyed ourselves very much."

It is so spacious and comfortable - almost all the rooms are en suite, there are big rooms for all to gather to eat or play games or socialize, as well as spaces for folks to have quiet time. "The cottage is located very near to the center of the village, which has everything you need for a long stay. The kitchen is well appointed but we did have problems with the overly sensitive smoke detector. Communication with Lisa was excellent. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The place is best suited for people who plan to spend most of their time outdoors walking and exploring, since it doesn’t have an outdoor patio or yard. Chagford is a very special place with lots to do...

"Only stayed for 2 nights but wished it was longer. A truly delightful little cottage with fabulous views from the front doorstep across Exmoor. Loved the little garden..weather was beautiful so we sat out in the sunshine, so relaxing and quiet. Beds were ultra comfy ( quality bedlinen which i love). All in all a lovely stay and we would definitely go back. Very friendly and helpful host who left us a little hamper on arrival, belgian buns, eggs, milk, butter, bread. Really nice touch. Loved it."

"A home from home with good quality appliances, crockery and towels. The double is on the smaller side and we found the mattress rolled in towards the middle. Lack of ventilation and a blind were other small issues but the pros far outweighed them. The view was stunning. The peace was amazing. The meals we bought were delicious and plentiful! We were overwhelmed with the welcome hamper - it was above and beyond expectations. We definitely recommend and hope to go back."

"Wow, we had a 3 bedroom lodge with hot tub, and it was absolutely perfect 👌 Clean, spacious and beautiful views. Staff were very helpful, had to call as the boiler went off, they arrived promptly and fixed in 2mins. Shout out Will, great quiz and funny bingo night. Would come back in a heartbeat 💯"
