Hotel is centrally located, 5 minutes from train station and Tivoli Gardens. Weekend break was excellent albeit slightly marred with the experience through Expedia. Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 nine year old child and had this confirmed through Expedia. On arrival at hotel there was only a double bed and sofa available. Staff helpfully made up the sofa for my daughter but then insisted on charging an additional bed fee despite the confirmation from Expedia.. No response to several emails to Expedia which was disappointing. Unlikely to use them again and wouldn't recommend to a friend.

Outstanding Hotel
Excellent for guests who appreciate all organic. Charming place. Rooms a bit small but that’s Europe. My first room was on the top floor with great ambiance and view. I like hotel so much I extended my stay and moved to the room with small balcony and canopy bed and awesome stone bathtub. Buffet breakfast (extra charge) was a exquisite.

The first and best hippie hotel I have been into
I definitively reccomend this hotel: it's different from anything I have been in before. It's a very relaxed environment, from the caffetteria to the internal garden up to the room that seem to have a 70s feel. I am not personally a great fan of the hippie's movement but everything here was charming, very clean, efficient and I'd almost say "harmonic". The room was of a decent size, very clean, silent and so cosy that it almost felt like home. The staff was very kind and helpful. They even rented us bicycles on Sunday when any other shop was closed. Overall we had a great time in Copenhagen and the hotel had a part in it.

Great service and friendly staff
Staying at the Axel Hotel Guldsmeden was a wonderful experience. The Hotel was centrally located so it was very easy to walk around the city and Tivoli Gardens is about a 3 minute walk away. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the rooms are lovely. When our key card reader stopped working part way through the stay and couldn't easily be fixed, the hotel upgraded us from the Junior Suite we'd booked to one of their Penthouse Suites. The organic breakfast buffet offered in the house kitchen was delicious and great value. My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely and are very glad we picked this hotel.

Rett ved tivoli og hovedbanegården. Fint hotell med bra størrelse rom. Eneste negative er om du får rom mot gaten i en av de første etasjene. Det er en uterestarurant på andre siden av veien, og gjestene blir til tider veldig høylytte. Spør etter rom høyt oppe.

Prima hotel voor een relaxed weekend Kopenhagen
Dit hotel ligt lekker centraal ten opzichte van het centrum en Tivoli. De kamers zijn over het algemeen niet groot maar wel netjes. We hadden een mooie kamer op de 5e verdieping maar echter zonder warm water. Toen dit niet verholpen kon worden hadden we binnen 15 minuten een nieuwe kamer. Het hotel ligt in een rustige straat waardoor je geen last hebt van geluiden van de straat. Het meest geweldige vonden wij het zalige ontbijtbuffet!

Då vi bott på hotellet var vi förväntansfulla då vi var mycket nöjda sist vi bodde här. Tyvärr var det överhuvudtaget sämre den här gången. För att nämna några saker: Ingen bodylotion i badrummet, sist blev vi bjudna på ett glas vin eller öl, inte nu, inte speciellt trevlig personal i receptionen....

Et hotell som absolutt kan anbefales! Meget hyggelig personalet. Rommet var lite, men allikevel hyggelig. Hadde også en liten balkong ut mot bakgården.

Trevligt hotell för en kortvistelse
Vi hade det trevligt på Axel Hotel Guldsmeden, jättesköna sängar och centralt läge. Badrummet var bristfällig men sovrummet var väldigt fräscht. En anställd på hotellet var en aning otrevlig och ljög dessutom då han sa att han "talar SVENSK". Området omkring hotellet kallas dock för "Copenhagen red light district". Vi upplevde däremot ingen oro där såväl under dag och kväll.

Bra hotell men det blir for tungvint å ikke ha dusj på badet. Kun badekar som var veldig lite er for dårlig

Nice concept but the service is not at all different
We booked a junior suite but received a double superior room. Came with our ones champagne glasses but they removed them from the room. No hand soup, I had to use the shower gel to wash my hands. The idea is to ring at the bell and be greeted by someone from the reception so you get a “home sweet home” feeling but at the reception they were too busy listening music to open for us so a guest sitting in the lobby area did it.

Meget charmerende og imødekommende hotel
Jeg havde booket hotellet for at have et sted at overnatte, og havde ikke nogen særlig forventning - men jeg skal da godt nok love for at jeg blev positivt overrasket. Et helt igennem hyggeligt hotel. Jeg følte mig bare helt vildt godt tilpas i de meget charmerende omgivelser. Ingen tvivl om at jeg også vil booke dette hotel næste gang jeg skal til København - og det bliver snart. Tak for det.

Mycket trevligt hotell med fokus på miljö. Annorlunda men fräscha rum i "safari-stil". Enda minus är avsaknad av luftkonditionering under varma dagar. Jättegod frukostbuffé.

Lever altid op til forventningerne
Har nu for 4 gang boet på Axel og jeg elsker atmosfæren. Der er altid upåklagelig service og en fantastisk morgen mad der kan indtages i gårdhaven hvis vejret er godt. Kan anbefale superiør single værelserne da de har sten karbad og himmelseng - hvad mere kan en pige ønske sig.

Wem die Lage des Hotels im Rotlichtbezirk hinter dem Bahnhof nicht stört, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und mein Zimmer sehr sauber und von der Größe passend für einen Kurztrip. Negativ ist das man in der Designerbadewanne nicht wirklich duschen kann. Bett ist sehr komfortabel und es gibt ARD und ZDF-TV. Achtung die Parkgebühren sind hier mit 6-13 Kronen nicht ganz ohne

Det eneste hotel jeg vil bo på i København
Jeg nyder i den grad dette hotels koncept, med de værdier, der ligger bag det hele, indretning, service, mad, sæbe etc., dvs. miljø, æstetik, maden, servicen, møblerne, jeg har faktisk ikke lyst til at bo på andre hoteller i København. Det skulle da lige være et af de to andre Guldsmeden på Vesterbrogade, hvis der ikke var plads her.
