Following a major refurbishment in 2023, Cerezo 6 now ticks virtually all the boxes we set for new houses. It’s a comfortable walk to the beach (400m), it’s located in a quiet street, and the interiors and exteriors are stylish and of a high standard. In addition, there is a good-sized (10x4m) pool and a lush landscaped garden with a number of sitting and eating areas under the pines.
Although there are two floors, virtually all the accommodation is on the ground floor, with just the fifth (single) bedroom on the first floor. There are four ground floor bedrooms (two with en suite bathrooms, and two sharing a bathroom), all with comfy beds that can be made up as singles or doubles. There is a large open-plan living space (dining room/sitting room) with views over the pool and the beautifully designed garden. And the compact kitchen (with everything you will want) has a small breakfast area at one end that opens onto the eating terrace and pool beyond. The refurbishment was designed for easy holiday living, and it works perfectly.
The eating terrace is made up of a long dining table under a pergola, which can be adjusted for sun and shade. And then on the other side of the garden there is a large area for relaxing under the pines, complete with big sofas and soft cushions, surrounded by a mix of semi-tropical and mediterranean plants.
It is a walk of about 500m to the local shop, pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants, and childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis and padel courts and five-a-side football pitches as well as convenient public electric car rapid chargers. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from within walking distance, some of which are now staying open all year. A 5-minute drive will then provide you with a far larger selection of both bars and restaurants.
