Conil de la Frontera combines the beauty of white hillside homes with the charm of a traditional fishing village, with its 14km beautiful beach interspersed with sandy bays and coves.
The area is a well kept Spanish secret, known for its unspoilt beaches, white hillside villages and relaxed way of life. From the beautiful hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, the laid back 3000 year old Moorish city of Cadiz, the dramatic sea battlements and beachside Roman ruins of Baelo Claudio, the old fort of Tarifa, the bodegas and famous Andalusian horses of Jerez. And that’s not to mention the flamenco, orange trees and historic sites of Seville.
With over 3,000 hours of sunshine, Conil is a fabulous place to visit year round and as a working town it retains its soul even during the cooler months, with fiestas taking place year round. Even in winter when the streets are lined with orange trees, lunch can be enjoyed in the sun in temperatures between 17°c and 22°c.
Conil was, and is, a fishing town, known country wide for its fresh tuna and seafood and it has retained a lovely friendly feel. Getting lost amongst the whitewashed streets is an excellent way to explore, with everything in walking distance.
All amenities are within a 10 minute walk so no need of transport whilst you stay.
the Bus Station is a short walk away that connects to Jerez, Sevilla, Cadiz and much more. Conil de la Frontera is located on the South West coast of Spain, on the Costa de la Luz.
