Bring your family! Only 5 minutes to 8 miles of boating, island exploration, and scenic River adventures on the Susquehanna River at Lake Aldred. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and comfortable living room to relax in. Three good sized bedrooms with room darkening shades. More seating on the screened in porch leads to the outdoor gas grill. Equipped with Hi-speed Comcast internet and multiple TV's, you can remain connected-- or choose not too! Hang out by a fire with family and friends (wood supplied) . Our location is ideal for enjoying Lancaster's Central market (25 minutes), microbreweries, restaurants, and galleries. Family Trip
We enjoyed this home very much, especially the amenity of 3 large beds. So many rentals i viewed had only 1 large bed with a variety of small beds, but this home was GREAT for my tall husband and sons. We appreciated that aspect, as well as the secluded location and beautiful property/gardens.

A Piece of Heaven
Very nice place, clean and comfortable. The area was so peaceful and quiet. My favorite part of trip was getting up early, going to screened in porch with my coffee, listening to birds, and seeing the deer cross the yards. The only downfall was the distance to get groceries and gas.

Great place to stay.
This place was a great place to stay, very clean, plenty of room for everyone. This was just off the beaten path but still close enough to all the attractions. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in the Lancaster area. Carol the host came over to greet us when we arrived. She was great and provided us with great information about what was around the house. Again, I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

What a pleasure!
We had such a wonderful time. The house fit myself and my husband, my parents and my teen daughter. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners. There was ample bedding and several extra pillows. The house was pristine clean. This is a remote location, which I loved. The garden and landscaping were beautiful and we took several pictures of the butterflies visiting daily. It was such a pleasant, relaxing stay. We would definitely book again!

Beautiful property and very comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the screened porch. Just took a long time to get places, curvy, narrow, hilly roads but beautiful countryside. Enjoyed the Frogtown cafe shrimp burger.

Perfect home for our group of five. My in-laws in their 80's, two nephews in their 20's and I. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and quality linens and towels. Location was great for scenic rides to all of our destinations. Carol was very responsive and helpful and we look forward to visiting again in a different season.

Relaxation in Conestoga PA!
Loved the location...loved the house...loved the quiet! It was one of the more relaxing vacations that we have had. Carol was a wonderful host and very personable. Rick came right over and sorted out an issue that we had immediately. The only downside was that the week went too fast!!!! :) Everything you would like to do is all within a 30-minute drive with many of the parks and recreation spots less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely be back to visit again as there is a lot to do in the area and it is tough to do all of it in just a week's time. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation or even just a long weekend then this is the place to do it!

Excellence welcome stay
Me and my family had a peaceful enjoyable stay. We were greated by the owner Carol with a wonderful welcome and tour of her beautiful clean home. Quite street, plenty space in each room, lot's of Tv stations the best of all clean and fresh air. Nice screened in patio 🔥 fire pit and Much more. We will stay again. Carol your such a caring sweet kind person. Carol even left us goodie. You will not regret staying here.❤️❤️😎😎😊😊😌❤️❤️. Will stay again.

The property is not handicap friendly. It has no window coverings, except for the bedrooms. Even the bathroom was open window for getting out of the shower. Like being a fish in a bowl.

Nice Property in Lancaster County
The River Hill house was a neat, comfortable home which was just as shown in the photographs. There was ample seating in the living room for the 4 of us to comfortably watch tv together or just sit and visit. The kitchen was well-stocked and very adequate to handle our needs. We appreciated the newly remodeled bathroom and the king size beds in the bedrooms we used. The screened in porch was a perfect outdoor area, and looking back, we wish we had planned a less busy weekend so that we could have enjoyed being at the property a little more. This home is in a nice rural area where there are many nice homes and farms along the roads winding through the hills. It was a beautiful area but involved a little more driving than we expected in order to get to and from the activities on our schedule. The owners were nearby and were very willing to take care of any needs that guests might have. I recommend this property as a good place for any family visiting the area.

It was ok
The house was ok. We couldn't use the downstairs shower due to very poor condition. The rest of the house was ok. Great if you want 100% seclusion but if you need to get into town it's a 30 minute drive to get down the hill to civilization. Just good for you to know. We hadn't known this nor can you fault a host for this. Just important info. The host did let us check in early for an additional fee. The host lives next door and will come by to talk if you are outside. If you are looking to just get away from it all this house would work for you.

Upon arrival, owner met us there to go over property. Check in was very easy. The house was very clean and beds were comfortable. We prefer houses over hotels and this did not disappoint. It was a bit out of the main city, but that's exactly what we were looking for. Loved the screened in porch to sit and listen to nature and watch the fireflies. She had board games and Cornhole available to play along with a fire pit (unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use fire pit). When we had questions, Carol responded quickly. We will definitely use this place again...I highly recommend.

Excellent place for R&R
This is an excellent vacation house, clean, well maintained and well appointed. The surroundings are scenic and there are plenty of activities available nearby for nature lovers. Carol was very welcoming ,met us in person for the tour of the property and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The highlight for us was the screened in porch-the perfect place to serve a meal, watch the magnificent variety of butterflies and birds attracted by the garden flowers or just put your feet up and rest. We had a great time and we highly recommend this property.
