"Our stay at the cottage was ok, the pool is lovely and the hot tub is a plus. The cottage is very small, we are a family of 4 which was tight. 6 people would be too many as there is only a sofa bed to sit on in the living room so people have to sit at the dinner table in the evening. Thankfully we didn’t need to use the sofa bed as it was broken. We did inform the owner who said she was aware it was broken but didn’t say it would be fixed or a new sofa bought. Fantastic old property, exactly what we needed for 12 people!

"Had extended family (12 of us) all staying in one place including a toddler, young kids, tweens and 6 adults! The place was perfect for what we needed. The pool was a big win, excellent amenities in terms of crockery, glasses, cutlery kitchen equipment etc. Garden was lovely and we had almost no complaints. The only comment we have is that the property is very tired and must be very difficult for Marianne to keep clean by herself. This is not a major complaint from us as there were several children and lots of us so would have felt very uncomfortable trying to keep an immaculate house clean!!! This is not an immaculate house. Some of the sockets are loose and there are fixtures/fittings in need of repair. One of the chairs collapsed when we sat on it(!) But again this is not a complaint, it is probably a plus for such a large family in one place. We left it cleaner than we found it :) Marianne was lovely and showed us the old photos of the place and the work that was done (and is still to do!). I loved looking at the derelict parts and considering whether I could find £250,000 to buy it!! All in all an excellent stay and I would book again. But just a word of warning for others - it is rustic, French countryside shabby chic...sans le chic. Extra thanks to Marianne who was next door on hand whenever we needed but not too much that we felt uncomfortable. Merci Beaucoup! A bientot! "
