"Our extended family of ten spent an all too brief week at Karen and Dan’s sublime 16th century manse. The stone walls kept it cool inside - the kitchen was well equipped for family meals- the location is perfect for all you’ll want to do in this glorious region. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was very quiet and impeccably clean. And it’s amazing for each bedroom to be supplied with its own bathroom. The owners’ proximity for advice and assistance was invaluable. "Lovely, spacious house with plenty of room for a large family to stay without getting on top of each other. Wonderful heated outdoor pool, beautiful gardens and the best location if you like staying somewhere quiet but only 10 mins by car to the nearest town of Le Bugue."

"This is clearly a 5-star property both in a lovely removed, private setting yet mere steps from the old town. The cottage is lovingly crafted and very up to date. I was sorry not to have a "welcome notebook" with a history of the property as that would have been entirely fascinating. And although we figured everything out, a "user's guide" attached to that notebook would have been helpful. It is a spectacular property and was a joy to experience. "

"Second time here and was not disappointed. Jean Marc and Sandrine are wonderful hosts. The house was still as perfect as a year ago and has all you need to enjoy your stay in the Dordogne. I doubt you’ll find a better place to stay locally. Don’t delay book it!"

"Excellent communication beforehand. Arranged meal on first night which was excellent. Owners very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The house was so clean, the two bathrooms were a godsend so no hanging about waiting for them to become vacant. Lovely sitting area outside even though it was a bit chilly in the evenings. Local area is full of lovely places to visit."

"This is a lovely house in a beautiful rural setting. Our only recommendation to the property owners would be to update the bedding, specifically in the primary bedroom upstairs. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Also, the description suggests it is a 4 minute walk to the National History Museum and 13 minute walk to the Les Eyzies train station. Unless there is a path through the woods that we did not find, the road to town is unwalkable and dangerous."

"We have just enjoyed a very successful month long stay en famille in this lovely property. The location is really perfect for the sites of the Dordogne area. The house and pool are secluded and private but very convenient for Sarlat, the river and various chateaux. The house was ideally arranged for our party so that the young family could occupy the rooms and bathroom on the first floor and there were still two good sized bedrooms with their own en-suites on the ground floor for the other...

"La p'tite bergerie is a beautiful gite, and has everything you need to make your stay homely and comfortable. It is set in an absolutely lovely area, very peaceful and relaxing, but is ideally located to many other towns, villages and sights this part of the Dordogne has to offer. Beatrice and Remy are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them, we really felt a friendship has been formed, so much so that we will be returning in December to enjoy their gite at Christmas time...can't wait!...
