The short walk to the non stop ferry crossings made the beautiful beach really accessible, and the short taxi ride into Tavira gave us cultural experiences and a stunning setting for dinner by the river. "A lovely apartment with good outside space. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms clean. The pool is a good size but a few more beds around the pool would be helpful. The apartment was supppse to provide pool towels but none were available, so be careful not to rely on this. Within a 10 minute walk to local shops and restaurants makes this a great location."

We have always visited the western Algarve but this side is our new favourite. Villa Real San Antonio is a genuine old Portuguese town and there are many beautiful coastal resorts eg.
