Imagine having the Pacific Ocean on your doorstep, a private yard shouldered by large fir trees, where you can enjoy the ocean from the living room couch, the sofa on the covered veranda, or sit at the edge of the property and watch all the action Mother Nature and the ocean brings: …amazing sunsets…sunrises…eagles…herons…seals, etc.. Adventure onto the sand during a lower tide and venture out onto the rocky shellfish reef for fresh oysters & clams. Or just wander along water's edge as the tide moves in and out feeling the restorative benefits of nature in all its splendor.
Winter time is a special time at the beach where major storms can arrive on a moments notice, with driving wind, sometimes rain, and often waves where a new occurrence has recently been taking place – some of the locals have taken up surfing. After every storm the beach always goes through dramatic change. Heavy lines of seaweed often embrace the shoreline. New driftwood comes ashore, and the sandy reefs shift yet again. No question with all these continuous changes, Kye Bay is a beautiful ocean paradise with plenty to explore and witness.
