A piece of tranquility
When arriving at the property we were a little dubious of the location as it is right next to quite a busy road in Como. However once inside it was surprisingly quiet and calm. The property itself was very well furnished and stocked, everything felt good quality and well considered. There were some areas in the bathroom that needed a little TLC, but out of all the properties we had stayed on during out time away (a total of 4) this was by far the nicest. The garden overlooks what can only be decribed as a bamboo forest which is a bit random, but lovely not to be overlooked by other peoples windows! The location was good, if you cross the road you are able to get straight to the path by the lake then it's a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. The property guidebook was very comprehensive with a lot of good recommendations. It would have been good to get this a little sooner so I could plan things in advance in relation to restaurants and activities. We had the most fantastic meal with an amazing view at Terrazza 241 which is in the Hilton Hotel, just a couple of minutes walk from the property. Definitely worth a visit, it's expensive, but the views and service were both impeccable.
