"We had a very nice stay , and we were upgraded to executive room which was lovely , unfortunately it looked out onto the main road which was being dug up and majorly overhauled and the noise from machinery until they stopped was rather loud . It restarted at 8am but luckily we were just waking up anyway . The staff were very helpful and helped us find parking as road disrupted and breakfast was very nice . "Un hôtel agréable, mais aux chambres vraiment petites. L'hôtel est agréable, avec un accueil efficace qui nous a permis d'arriver très tard sans complications. Il est situé près d'un rond point assez passant, ce qui en rend l'accès aisé, mais force à garder les fenêtres fermées la nuit. Heureusement qu'il y a une climatisation. "Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Great communication in the run up to our visit. François was the perfect host full of ideas and information on where to visit and weather updates. Stayed in the penthouse apartment. Beautifully furnished immaculately clean amazingly comfortable. Lovely outdoor private patio and garden area. Fantastic grounds. Would highly recommend Le Grand Saint-Marc. Thank ypu again François "

Best place to stay to visit the Chateaux of Sid Loire

"The house was great, had all the comforts of home, a great yard with fig and peach trees, lots of Rose trees, that we have not seen and we are gardeners, a dock to sit on watch the river Le Loir flow, the host was awesome showed us the ins and out, took us to the local supermarket to stock up for our stay."

A fantastic week!

"We had a fantastic week staying at the gite. We were a party of 8 and we had plenty of room - having two separate houses also worked really well for us. The pool is lovely - a great size, clean, heated and in a lovely setting. The location is beautiful, in the grounds of the chateau, and we enjoyed eating at the large table outside under the tree. The hosts were very friendly and helpful - thank you! In terms of eating out, we had a really delicious meal at the restaurant Aux Trois Pastoureaux in Chateaudun which is about 20 mins drive away - would highly recommend. All in all we had an amazing week and would love to go back at some point."

Lovely break

"We had a fantastic week and Aline was very friendly and accomodating. The house was perfect for our family and the kids loved the pool which is all enclosed for safety. The house had plenty of room for large groups like ours and the supermarket was 5 mins drive up the road which was really handy. There is a great patisere in the local town well worth a visit for some lovely fresh cakes. "

A great week with the family

"Fantastic house, garden and facilities. High quality beds and bathrooms throughout. Tennis court was a particular bonus, with a good bounce even though it looks a little tired. A lovely quiet location with lots of activities within half an hours drive. And Claire was amazing when our car broke down....."

"An excellent place to stay prior to catching the Caen ferry. The hotel was easily accessed, with a large secure parking area Very welcoming with a comfortable room and a good breakfast was available. There is a very large Le Clerc close by with a restaurant which provided a good evening meal and an opportunity to get items to take home. "

"The reception staff were very helpful. We had several ‘challenges’- the heater in the bathroom only stayed on for 1 minute, the hairdrier did not work, the room was very clean when we arrived but daily room service was poor- only made the bed and changed the towels. The cups were not changed and the floor was not cleaned (we stayed for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very poor value for €9. We were happy with the location because we enjoy walking so walked into the town to eat- the walk around the lake would be lovely in the daylight!"
