As a hostel, she really goes above and beyond, and Friendly Auberge would be a bargain at twice the price! Don't even get me started about how much I loved her fixed-price pilgrim menu in the restaurant! For me personally, her being an ex-pat American was hugely valuable as I cannot speak French."

"The dinner was the best bit and the hosts were kind and welcoming! Everything else was a bit less than average. We were looking for a short stay with a spa and had used the filter in hotels.com to select the B&B. On arrival we were very surprised that the spa is not included in the room we had booked and were forced to upgrade. This was extra strange because the hot tub is not attached to the "suite" as you might expect. Instead its directly next to the main entrance which is also the kitchen....

"Photos on hotels.com are extremely misleading, room I got was very old and tired. There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. I asked at reception and was told none available for the room. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly but this does not make up for the room being nothing like the photos.
