Lovely peaceful stay
The property is in a lovely location. Comares is a quiet little town in the mountains, perfect for peace and quiet. There are also many nice walks, both short and long which you can take from the property without the need of a car.
The house is also really nice, very quirky with iron staircase going over 4 levels. The view from the roof terrace is stunning, we spent so much time just reading there and enjoying the views. The only downside is the house is quite cold in the winter as there is only single glazing, and the front door is a big metal door with many air gaps. So if in winter plan to buy wood for the stove, around 15-20 euro per week (guy in the town sells it and delivers to house), and use the fire everyday. But I think this is common for Spanish homes, they are not built to handle cold, they are built to say cool in the heat.
Maria and Vi were also brilliant communicators before we arrived. They were constantly updating us on new covid restrictions and how it would affect us/what we could do before we arrived. It was really reassuring to have such nice and informative hosts during such a difficult time.
We would definitely be back to enjoy the views and all Comares and the surrounding area has to offer.
