It was beautiful and everything was so nice in the home. The decor was very homy and comforting. The host was wonderful and helpful. It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay again and recommend staying to family and friends

As always my stay has been relaxing and enjoyable. I love waking up to the view and my dog loves it here. Karen has been a wonderful host and very helpful with my stay.

Peaceful by the river
Life's simple pleasures in the beauty of this location. We spent our days at the Outer Banks but hurried back for quiet suppers and were blessed with 2 beautiful sunsets. Even got to watch a full moon rising over the water. We hope to return and stay longer.

Outstanding views , perfect place for R&R
Our too short stay was so relaxing and pleasant. Plenty of everything is furnished in their modest house, but you will want to spend every non rainy or non chilly second on the porch. Too cool to use their kayaks, but ooooh, the indescribable views of the river through the moss laden trees, from dawn to sunset, and with a full moon. We'll be back !

Quiet and relaxing
The property was exactly as described. We had a great time fishing and playing in the water. At one point a large group of dolphins swam by the pier. I hope to visit again next year.

Great views! Lots of privacy, spacious house with all amenities.
I loved working with the owners it was easy and they wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my stay. House was clean, private setting, great views of the river, and the sun sets you don't want to miss sitting on that new pier. I plan to go again to take friends in October.. Loved it!!

River House Fun
We had a great time living on the water for a few days. The book provided helped us find great food in the area, and we grilled out fish too. The beds were comfortable too. The slanted floors took some adjusting to, but didnt stop the fun. We would have enjoyed more time at the house and hope to come back.

If you want fancy and crowds and traffic then stay elsewhere...this was the most relaxing vacation i have taken in years---away from tourist areas and peaceful....lots of wildlife and boats...host and her mom were more than friendly and accommodating....yes its remote but so so so worth staying. Already booked for next year.

Lovely Girls Week Out
We had a lovely week in Columbia last week! 3 best friends and 1 dog and lots of fun. The lot is very private and allowed relaxing in lounge chairs, watching sunsets from the dock, and plenty of space for the dog to play. We cooked in several nights and the kitchen met all of our basic cooking needs. Not too far to drive in to the beach for a day trip, which we also did! Over all we had a lovely time at an affordable price.

Everything you need.
A wonderful getaway on the river. Perfect for watersports, s'mores, driving into the OBX, lighthousing, fishing, quiet recharging, etc. And if you forgot it, they have it. Wish I could have grown up so close to great food and the outdoors in a place like this.
