Deer Ridge Cabin at Bear lodging. We say Bears, because many of our guests have been lucky enough to spot one through the windows of this special remote rental during non-hibernating season. This inviting and secluded 3 bedroom, 2 bath mountain home is a wonderful place for relaxing in nature with with family and friends and enjoying attractions throughout the Pikes Peak region. The rustic home is situated on private wooded land and is only an hour drive from Colorado Springs, two hours from Denver, one and a half hours from Breckenridge. A short drive will take you to many of Colorado's most popular tourist attractions.

Deer Ridge is perfect any time of the year. Enjoy hiking, fly fishing, rock climbing, off-roading and exploring the nearby Pike National Forest. A visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is definitely a memory you won’t forget! Take a drive in the Rocky Mountains or head to Cripple Creek for some lively gambling and souvenir shopping. Visit Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, or Old Colorado City for shopping, dining and old time fun. Please know this is a beautiful, mountainous remote property and requires AWD in snowy weather.

This is a dog friendly property, however, please notify us if your dog accompanies you and the following additional charges will apply. A $30 per day/fee
will be charged for your pet(s) and a $250 refundable pet deposit is required. Two (2) dogs maximum. No drooling or excessive shedding breeds, please. Weight limit
40 pounds. Please be courteous and clean up after your pet. Leashes required. Pets are welcome but
please do not allow them on the beds or furniture.

Backyard is fully fenced but please do not leave pets unattended.

The cabin was a perfect space for 3 couples. It was a great location for our day trips to the Buena Vista/Twin Lakes/Lake George area. The kitchen was stocked for everything we needed to cook meals and the living/dining space was large and comfortable.

Beautiful property! Especially with everything covered in snow. So warm and inviting, felt like home. Easy to find in the dark. Nice open floor plan and everything I needed. I started the puzzle but its missing a lot of pieces. I would definitely return for another birthday get away.

A Great Weekend Away!
It was time to getaway for the weekend! This was a great place. I really like the layout of the inside of the home. I want to go back in the summer and sit on the back deck! It looks so nice! I loved the location of this mountain home! It was so close to many fun things to do. I was very very impressed with the communication I had with the office of the property manager. They were SO helpful through email and on the phone. We will be going back to stay in this home!

Beautiful property, with lots of walks and things to do in the area. Special shout out to the hosts, who set up a Christmas tree and holiday decorations in the home for us (we were staying over the holidays). Only complaint (and it is minor) was that there was a lot of dog hair in the living room.

The home is very nice with a large backyard and comfortable living area. We visited the wolf sanctuary, the Florrissant National Monument and tested out the breweries in the area. A wonderful stay.

There were lots of pictures, even arial views but they were very old. It looked like there weren’t any neighbors around the home because the picture were probably taken before other houses were built. They showed patio furniture with cushions but in reality there was only seat cushions for one person and it was tattered. There was 2-3 inches of standing water in the dishwasher that wouldn’t drain so we washed dishes by hand for 5 days. While we weren’t at the home a member of the management team came into the house to look at the dishwasher. We really didn’t appreciate them coming into the home while we were gone and all our things were in the home. They didn’t ask they just said they were on their way there and got there well before us. We felt we needed to stop the site seeing we we’re doing and get back. A BBQ is advertised but you have to provide your own propane so be prepared for that. The neighborhood was quiet and private. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. We won’t be back.

The only things that I would change, the stairs too steep for older people. Up stairs queen was way too firm to be comfortable for general population. Other than that, nice place with fenced big yard - just perfect for our family and dog. Thank you!!

Beautiful home surrounded by pines. Daily Deer activity in the backyard both mornings and evenings. Could not have asked for a more relaxing home away from home. Everything we wanted to experience was close by, but yet we were still able to “get away”. Will definitely book again and are already planning our 2022 vacation. Thanks for the great memories.
