Unique forest setting for great family time together. House has huge kitchen, dining room with windows all around. There is also a dry cabin/playhouse/detached bedroom/secluded reading nook in the back. It is a wonderful place to send the kids or escape to yourself. Cabin has chipmunks and squirrels that will eat out of your hands. Fox pups in the spring in a den close by. ATV and mountain bikes for riding. Trails and hiking. Professional gas/briquettes grill smoker. Fireplace. Wood stove. Fire pit. Wood and kindling for fireplaces provided.

Peaceful seclusion
We really enjoyed how secluded this home was. Deer and chipmunks frequented the back yard. Only suggestion: With no cell service we couldn’t text the manager and couldn’t find where she lived so, with WiFi, an email contact may be more effective if needed.

Perfectly secluded luxury
Better than what I had hoped for! This place was spacious, clean, and just as listed! The seclusion in the woods was perfect for hiking and getting away from the hussle and bussle. Caretaker had delicious cookies and brought us to her house to cuddle a new baby goat! Highly recommend this place! Amazing! Highly recommended

Family Getaway
While the location was lovely and the caretaker did an excellent job cleaning and letting us know about the property, we were disappointed with the property descriptions listed on VRBO which should have included information about the twin bed. The twin bed was an inconvenience as it was a small bed in the house up the hill accessed by unsteady steps. The owner could invest in better pillows for sleeping as well as a better stocked kitchen for eating and food preparation.

This is a great house, a north of Florissant is a beautiful area with a lot to see. The host was very helpful, as well, when we left a bag there.

This place is amazing! It's big and private, would stay here again in a heartbeat, loved that there is a lot of wood for the fire pit and fire place, the cast iron stove heats up the house very nice

Relaxing getaway
Great for a family or group of friends, plenty of space in and outside the Cabin.I learned there is a couple ways to get to town but there is no cell signal and your GPS may actually send you down a longer route but Florissant is actually quite close. Cozy Cabin though, plenty of firewood and a fully equipped kitchen.

Cozy location for a weekend getaway
The property was great. There was a major snowstorm a couple of days before we were due to arrive and we weren't sure we would be able to make it. The caretaker was extremely helpful in communicating with us about road conditions. It really helped ease our minds.

Nice Weekend Getaway

Backwoods Retreat
This is exactly the type of place we were looking for. Out of the hustle and bustle of the city but pretty easy access to go places. Right off the Pike National Forest.

Roads are definitely curvey compared to Iowa flat straight roads. The scenery was amazing.
Great place to get away from it all. Seen a fox, deer and a bear dumped over the garbage every evening. So yes the place was wonderful to stay at.

Wonderful Stay
This cabin is a wonderful place to stay. It is so peaceful and lovely. We loved being in the mountains. We had a great time watching the deer and chipmunks. We also enjoyed hiking around the property. Angela, the property manager, is very kind and knowledgeable about the area.

This home is located in a beautiful area and very secluded. It was a bit far from attractions and hard to find, but we enjoyed the quiet and it was a great place to relax. The home is very nice and had all the amenities we needed for a family of 4.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! Lots of space for 3 adults and 3 children. The property is beautiful and the area is very quiet. We loved the fact that it was only 25 minutes from Woodland Park.

Felt like home
WOW! We ere looking for a cozy place out of the way just a little and this was it! It was very clean and cozy! Pleanty of wood for the wood heater that can heat that whole place! Its way bigger in person and was very quiet. We loved it! It was our 5 year anniversary trip and fell in love with the place and the area! Looking forward to booking it again!

A very nice home to stay in and a beautiful property. Not all kitchen stuff was clean so rewashed dishes, silverware and coffee pot. I feel we left it in good condition for the next guests. Was very easy working with getting arrangements made and check in/out was efficient. Would definitely use again should the need arise
