Pillows Are Important
When you there are flat pillows on the couch, chairs, and beds, it is very clear indicator of how the place is managed and what is given priority: money or quality of service to the client. The pillows at this place were horrible. It was like sleeping with your head on cardboard. We ended up bringing in the pillows from the vehicle we travel with because of my physical disability.
Plus, there was a very high bed with steps on either side. This wasn't functional for me given my disability that limits mobility. This high bed wasn't listed in the description. We ended up switching bedrooms in the middle of the night. My wife woke up with a splitting headache that pretty much set the tone for the rest of our trip - thanks for that...!
There were absolutely no instructions on how to "use the cabin" and we spent 10 minutes trying to get the doors locked when we left for our day of excursions.
When I booked the room, I told them I had a disability and would be traveling with a qualified service dog; yet they said nothing about the bed, and I was still charged a $49 "service fee" that was described as a cleaning charge since I had a dog. I didn't think cleaning charges were applied for service dogs? Yet, there has been no credit applied back to my account.
The pillows are just one example of how this place needs a serious update and a move on the scale of what is important.
