Experience the beauty and wildlife of Cheyenne Cañon in this beautiful historic 2 bedroom one bath cottage built in 1913. Updated with modern features but retaining the old world charm of the wide trim and wood floors with antique furniture and fixtures. Enjoy the 5 person hot tub on the back porch. Located only 2 blocks from the famous Broadmoor Hotel and a half block from Cheyenne creek. Deer and other wildlife visit the property often. You are minutes away from all amenities, yet secluded in the beauty and serenity of Cheyenne Canyon.

This beautiful 1300sf cottage furnished with many antique and historic pictures from Colorado Springs colorful past. Beautiful stone fireplace with electric fireplace heater. Two bedrooms, full bathroom, dining room with seating for 6, good sized living room, enclosed sun porch, 5 person Hot Tub, BBQ grill, porch swing and table/chairs await you on the back porch. The living room hosts a 55' Smart TV, DVD player and a DVD movie library! Blue tooth sound bar. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and is well stocked providing a Toaster Oven, Microwave, Blender, Griddle, Rice Cooker, Spice Rack, Coffee Pot, Pots/Pans, Plates/Glasses, utensils and much more! Washer and dryer in basement.

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Creamer, Sugar and sweetener provided.

The master bedroom has a king size oak sleigh bed with a new mattress, night stand and dresser. Bedroom 2 has a full size antique bed with new mattress and Twin bed. Bedrooms are equipped with alarm clocks with USB charging port for your cell phone or tablet. Living room has a new queen sofa sleeper with an upgraded memory foam mattress. Twin Sofa sleeper.

From the property you can hear musical bells from the Will Roger's Shrine and historical churches. Cheyenne Cañon offers hiking, horse back riding, world class mountain biking and dirt bike riding on its numerous trail systems and the infamous Captain Jacks Trail. Stratton Open Space Preserve is just a block in half away! You will find trail maps of Cheyenne Cañon and of the Colorado Springs area of local trails and historical books of the area. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Will Rogers Shrine, Seven Falls, and Helen Hunt Falls are just up the road. Experience world class golf courses Blocks away. Beautiful home
Beautiful older home in a quiet neighborhood. Looked just as advertised. Deer wander the neighborhood. Didn’t have any reason to contact host during the stay, had zero problems. Great communication prior to stay as far as check in/check out info. Stayed over Christmas and there was a decorated treee and stockings hung on the fireplace. That was a very nice surprise.

This very cool, century old home has been been restored and updated in all the right places. Modern kitchen appliances, laundry WiFi/TV and Hot tub highlight the modern conveniences while the original structure provides the comfortable feel of living 100 years ago.

Very clean. Cute quaint property. Communication with property manager was very prompt. Enjoyed hot tub as an amenity in lovely tree lined backyard. Well stocked with coffee, laundry detergent, etc. Laundry in cellar was not expected. If you have a larger truck or SUV parking is very tight but street parking is allowed. Deer in front yard frequently…so cute.

Cozy cottage in the Springs
We just finished our long weekend at Captain Jack’s and it was just what we were looking for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 12 years old). It was very close to everything, quaint and cozy. Our favorite part was the yard- it was small and private, we enjoyed grilling and chilling in the hot tub; our kids favorite part. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Cottage
Definitely recommend this property! Good location, got to see deer nearby every evening and one walking in front of the house the first morning. We also saw a little black bear in the neighbors yard one evening. The cottage is unique & charming with a relaxing and homey vibe. It was very clean and they did a great job utilizing the space so it felt spacious even though it’s only 2 bed, 1bath. The hot tub was a nice plus! The little extras like coffee provided and a hair dryer in the house just made the stay that much easier. The host was good at communicating and easy to work with. If we are ever back in the Springs we will definitely be back!

Captain Jack’s cottage is a gem. It exceeded our expectations. The location is so close to the Broadmoor so it was perfect for the family wedding we attended there. The house was so clean and had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Hiking vacation
This was a perfect place to stay for my sister and I while hiking in Colorado Springs. The house is close to all of the prime hiking spots and easy to get to restaurants, grocery store, etc., so we didn’t waste time driving around. The hot tub was wonderful for sore muscles. Table in the back yard was peaceful and private. The host was very responsive.
