Summary:
This inviting cabin with hot tub is tucked away in the mountains just off beautiful Hwy 67 between Divide and Cripple Creek in the western foothills of Pikes Peak. The perfect place for your mountain retreat, you can enjoy a hot tub soak or a book on the deck without seeing another house from the property, but at the same time it's nestled in a quiet, established rural neighborhood. With easy access to trails and wilderness and a quick drive to restaurants, groceries and shops, Hunter's Ridge cabin is a honeymooner's or family get-away dream.
The Space:
Open floor plan boasts a fresh, clean kitchen with eat-in counter, dining table and living room. It is the perfect space for dining and relaxing after a long day of adventuring. Turn up the romance with the gas fireplace as you sip your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Grill and chill on the deck with views of Pikes Peak and aspens, fir, and pine trees. Come in the fall to view the stunning changing aspen leaves. On chilly or snowy nights, head downstairs for a round of foosball or a movie, and walk out to the outdoor hot tub on the patio. There's nothing to be compared with a soak in the hot tub while snow falls around you! The downstairs features a family room with television and a pull out sofa bed, a full bathroom, and the second bedroom.
Take advantage of the plentiful options for hiking, fishing, boating, biking, horseback riding, history, and other adventures all in close proximity to the cabin.

The Neighborhood:
The cabin is located south of HWY 24 by about 10 minutes, literally on the slope of Pikes Peak and right next to Mueller State Park. Cripple Creek is only 20 minutes away. You are in the mountains so you will see wildlife. You may experience interrupted cell reception, so please record directions and all other information you need for your stay in advance. Wifi is available at the cabin and most guests have found it to be reliable although, like anywhere, bandwidth and connection reliability can vary from time to time.
Getting Around:
There are few public transportation options in the area. The cabin is in a neighborhood with dirt roads which are generally well maintained throughout the year. If you are traveling when significant snow is possible (between September and May) please be advised that depending your experience driving in winter weather, a Four Wheel Drive vehicle may be a good idea. Make sure you have the contact information for your AAA membership or insurance provider if you think you may need support.
The home is located about an hour drive from the Colorado Springs Airport and about 2 hours from the Denver Airport.
Other Things to Note:
+ Sleep in peace on our super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility.
+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.
+ This is bear country. Please do not leave any food outdoors or in your car. The garbage bin is located in the shed near the house. Please make sure you put trash in the bear proof bin and secure the lid. As much as possible, please keep any food trash or strong smelling trash inside the cabin until trash collection or your departure.
+ Mail service in the Divide will not deliver packages directly to the house. Mail can be sent to general delivery at the Divide Post Office.
+ No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted inside the house. Outdoor smoking is permitted and we do not scrutinize what you smoke outside as long as you do it in keeping with house rules and local burn restrictions.
+ No parties, and please observe quiet hours outdoors between 10pm and 8am. Hunter's Ridge is in a quiet mountain neighborhood with full-time residents, and neighbors will report loud or unsafe partying to the authorities.
+ Photo ID required for all reservations. Minimum age to rent this property is 25.
+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.
+ The Rainbow Valley neighborhood is situated on an accessible but mountainous part of Pikes Peak where there is no municipal water supply. Thus we do pay for a truck to fill our cistern and for this reason we do ask our guests to kindly use water wisely and conservatively. The cistern holds several hundred gallons and is refilled regularly so running out of water is not a concern.
Interaction with Guests:
We love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area and live very close by. However, we give our guests space unless they ask for help or want to say ‘hi’ in person. Our team will be available throughout your stay and is always happy to provide advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.
