"We visited Cloud Forest Lodge early March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel is just slightly off the beaten path, giving you the true rainforest feel. The property has trails to explore, animals can be spotted throughout the grounds. We were surprised to see no tv, but that was just lack of research on our part. Staff were always friendly and helpful with any inquiries we had. Would definitely consider staying there again on our next visit to Monteverde."

"Beautiful space with friendly, professional staff. Our room was quiet and comfortable with a stunning view. The staff always welcomed us with a cheerful greeting and were helpful in explaining gluten free options while dining. We felt safe walking down the road to some of the shops and enjoyed coffee at the shop down the hill. We highly recommend. "

"This hotel is simply the best in all aspects, great ambience, aesthetically designed, I simply loved the interior and exterior decoration, meticulously planned and designed, I could not resist taking photos at the bar the because the way it is designed, breakfast was best with options to chose from, front desk team helped me to chose the type of activities with some great recommendations.. they have accommodated our request for keeping luggage as well as use of washrooms when we returned even after we returned.. all in all a great place to stay at Monteverde.. "

"Hacienda is a great spot. Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, and great service. It’s showing its age a bit and could use a little updating and some maintenance. Our room was very nice and comfortable but the AC did not cool the room well. It did not detract from the overall stay though."

"The staff were super friendly and helpful especially the front desk clerk, Ilene. The room was spacious and the grounds well kept and beautiful. Short walk downhill to center of town. Walk back up will burn up dinner calories. Also had a little visitor to our area. See pic. "

"Valle Escondido is a beautiful eco friendly hotel with delicious farm to table food. Property is beautiful with hiking trails to views of waterfalls. Great place for families and nature lovers alike. We took a night tour and saw amazing things with our lost knowledgeable guide! Had a great time! "

"Monteverdi Country Lodge was very nice stop on our first trip to Costa Rica. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, and that alone made the stay 5 stars in my book. The room was clean and comfortable. My only small complaint were a slight lack of electrical sockets in our room. We made do, but given how dependent we all are on our devices, a few more would have been nice. Also, the location is set back from the main road, so the location would not really be considered walkable to anything but local restaurants. That being said we had a car for the daytime, and the lovely staff called us taxis in the evening, problem solved. The property itself is lovely for sitting outside for drinks or a meal, and again, the staff are top notch!"
