However, by then we realised that the downstairs toilet and drains were blocked as were 2 of the upstairs showers. There was no hot water in some. "Two familes had a lovely week at this beautiful house. Hot tub was great and the pool was very welcome during the hot days. It's not a huge pool and only a meter deep but did the job. The house and grounds are really well maintained. Cats are lovely and not bothersome. Gaspare, Christoff and Raquel are all very helpful. I would really recommend this Villa for a peaceful break away from it all. "

The local pizzeria was very good and not expensive. Priests and her partner were very helpful and looked after us well. A very relaxing holiday but very hot in Augusta’s one downside is no air conditioning. "

"This property was amazing and fit our needs perfectly. We had 22 people and each group had their own area but we gathered daily in the main dining area. We grilled out, had a chef come and fix us dinner and several days of pit luck. Daily trips to the surrounding hilltop towns of Todi, Orvieto, Spello, Sienna, and Florence one day. "Fantastic location with stunning views. Property located in spacious gardens with good sized swimming pool which was well maintained. Bathrooms were disappointing with showers that were barely big enough to get into. Kitchen very small and not very clean with inefficient fridge/freezer that had seen better days. "We spent wonderful week there. The hosts are very welcome and ready to give you any help you need. The place is quiet and there is beautiful panorama from the taras. The house is comfortable, clean and cosy. The jacuzzi is also amazing thing on top of it. It's a good base for visiting many places in Umbria. It's possible to get from the house to provincionale road in 7 minutes."

"Great hotel in former palazza. Lovely staff. Recommend. One beware: if coming by train, Google maps will tell you the train is 230 m from the funicular. This is wrong. The 230 m refers to the escalator to a parking area. The hotel is 1.3 kilometres from the top of the funicular which leaves from opposite the railway station. From the funicular, walk up Cavour which is about 10-15 degrees on the left and is the main street. There is then one left turn about 150 m from the hotel. Use your phone. I believe you can also catch a mini bus or a very overpriced taxi from the station but we didn’t sight either."

"This was our first time to Orvieto. This property is at the top of a small mountain facing the village. Wonderful view, especially in the morning with the sun at low angle. The room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast had many options, and they will cook for you if you wish. We had a car, there was plenty of parking. The owners were at the property while we were there and provided us with lots of information and conversation. Very nice place, but best it is about a 2 mile drive into the village. If your not driving to Orvieto, you may want to consider staying in town. "

"Rita was AMAZING and what an experience- the kind nuns served breakfast and welcomed all our questions- you are staying in a true convent with a chapel-it’s not old, but it’s certainly the real deal, and to step just out the door to the main square was just fabulous!! 🙏"

Perfect stay

"Super location, just a block from the Duomo. City fun to visit, explore and enjoy. Hotel offered a delicious breakfast, but by breakfast 4, I would have enjoyed a little variation. However, that’s not really important. The room was very comfortable, shower was always hot. There is an elevator if you don’t want the stairs, all the staff are helpful and friendly. We appreciated the dinner recommendations."
