Average / Not the best property
To start with some positives, the local area is stunning/the local village is lovely. The countryside views are breathtaking.
The property itself is very tired/outdated and there were lots of issues that were not straight forward.
For example, the Vrbo listing does not mention about having to pay extra for bed sheets / towels but the owner tried to get us to pay for this. We disagreed as it was not mentioned and he waived the linens charge and we bought our own towels. Thank god he did as the linens were paper thin and even on arrival we had to ask for more linens and pillows as some of the rooms didn't even have them on.
The owner also asked us for a deposit on arrival in the form of a cheque which goes against the terms of Vrbo's website so we had to navigate that also and explain to him that any deposit requirements were covered off by the Vrbo booking process.
If you want to check into the property and be left alone, this is not for you as the owners live in the building adjoined to this and are about taking care of the pool etc. This isn't explicitly stated in the listing, at the time of booking until after you've paid,
Not enough parasols that worked by the pool for the number of guests that can stay in the property /not enough sun loungers (all being held down by rocks etc which would routinely blow over/not fixed to the ground).
He also asked us to clean the property on checkout which is not stated as a requirement on the listing on Vrbo.
