When he stopped outside we thought there might be a mistake as there was no sign and it didn’t look like a hotel. I checked the email which was all in Italian. It was 1am in the morning. However I saw someone else trying to enter the code for the front door and went in with them. I showed them my email and they helped us find and get into our room....

"This was a great place to stay for an early morning flight out of Pisa. The walk to the airport is short and easy. The neighborhood is safe. Inside the Pisaland is a common room with a refrigerator with drinks to buy and complimentary juice, coffee and wrapped pastries. Then you have your own room and bathroom. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Also, the beds were comfortable. The aesthetics feel like you are in an older home. I would highly recommend staying here. "

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...
