Cozy restored farmhouse on the river! Hot tub, wildlife, trails!

Welcome to our renovated 1902 historic farmhouse on the Little Spokane River, with nature views out every window and 200’ of river access to enjoy. Come for peace and quiet amongst the wildlife or to visit area attractions such as Mt Spokane or Greenbluff. We are just 5 minutes from grocery stores, movies and more and also within 2 miles of 3 different parks, an aquatic facility and access to walking and hiking trails right out the front door. Our hot tub is clean, warm and ready for you!

The farmhouse and approximately 1.5 acres of land are dedicated spaces for guests to enjoy exclusively, including a large grassy yard and gazebo with river views in the midst of park-like mature landscaping. Additionally, guests have access to 200 feet of river frontage via a short trail from the cottage. The river frontage is a semi-private area of the property that may occasionally be shared with the homeowners in the main house next door. The main house is separated from the guest cottage by about an acre of land and lots of foliage, making it totally private most of spring, summer and fall. We have built a privacy fence for winter.

The Little Spokane River has an average depth of 4 feet and a gentle current. The river water is clear in the summer with a sandy/rocky bottom which makes it a great swimming hole. It can also be navigated with kayaks or paddle boards. It is cold but refreshing on a hot day. Please swim at your own risk and supervise children at all times. We recommend water shoes.

Pine Cottage is nearly 120 years old, while it has been updated, please be aware that there are quirks that come with age such as uneven, creaky floors, steep stairs and radiators in each room. While we consider this charming and part of the experience of staying here, it should be noted.

Owners live on site but we leave guests totally alone for a peaceful stay to themselves.

Quaint Farmhouse
We had a great stay here and Chelsey was great! The home was beautifully appointed and was a great space for our family! The inside was beautifully decorated and the location was calm and quiet. While it felt like we were on the outside of the city, the proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, and Whitworth University was ideal. We will definitely stay here again!

Family vacation
This home had all the comforts of home and is perfect for adults who want to hang together while exploring everything the Spokane area has to offer. We enjoyed the quietness of the property yet being close enough to be in downtown Spokane within 15 minutes. The Property Manager is very responsive to questions should the arise as well.

Charming, historic home in a very beautiful setting
I was thoroughly impressed by this property. It's a beautiful home, built in 1908. Very charming, well maintained, exceptionally clean, and tastefully updated. It still has character, as any 100+ year old home probably should have. I thought the king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. WiFi worked fine. The book of house rules and suggestions of things to do in Spokane was fantastic. This was such a nice property that filled a particular niche purpose for us, perfectly. But the book (and stay) was so exceptional that rather than stay here, if we happen to need such a large place in Spokane, we would like to specifically stay at this place again just to go through the book and experience all that the area and property have to offer. For this particular stay we already had plenty of plans in place, but we realized that this was not necessary for a good time in Spokane. Wonderful place and could not have been more impressed. Hope to be back soon.

Quite relaxing location
We stayed just 2 nights but enjoyed every minute of our stay. The home is so peaceful and quite. The location was perfect for us being outside the city yet close enough to go back for groceries or fun if needed. The house is nicely equipped and I love how organized they are with labels in the kitchen. We will consider this place again for our next visit.

Fun on the River!
We loved the charming farmhouse and accessibility to the river. We rented tubes and floated down from the house to the park, took almost 3 hours and kids and adults alike loved it! Very comfortable beds and appreciate everything being so clean, clearly labeled and easy to find.

Wonderful house in nature
Such a great place to stay! Home was spacious and comfortable for our family. Owner provided many details to make the stay fun, particularly for my kids (ie scavenger hunt). Also provided useful information about the area. Spokane has many fun things to see and do but we spent quite a bit of time at the house and in the area as well (bike trails, river, games, parks, swimming). We saw several deer, wild turkeys, etc.
