Soderberg cozy rustic cabin 5 min from Cody

Remodeled in 2016! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furnitures and queen bed. We're roughly 50 mls from Yellowstone. My space is close to art and culture,
great views, restaurants and dining, the city center, Rodeo, mustangs. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the views, the location, and the people. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

The space

Remodeled in July of 2016! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furnitures and queen bed. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone. The cabin has it's own big bathroom.

Guest access

You will have full access to the deck but have to share with guests on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you buy the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it (weather no fire if it's to dry or windy). There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well.

Other things to note


We’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.
On that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family.

We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.

Wonderful experience
Easy to find, checking in was easy, the hosts super friendly and the dogs come and visit all the time. It was really fun, relaxing and very close to Cody. The hosts were so sweet to give good tips where to go and what to see. Overall I would go there again any time.

Unique experience
If you truly want to feel like you are in the wild, Wild West, this is the place for you! We wanted a unique experience and we found it! Loved the charm of the tiny cabin in the middle of “nowhere “. Hosts were very kind and helpful!

Our rustic cabin experience
I was blown away by this cabin stay. Just outside of Cody so we were close to amenities and activities yet far away enough to feel like a country get-away. Sitting on the deck was peaceful and full of sounds of local birds. The rustic cabin was clean and full of amenities I did not expect like a hair dryer, AC unit, and coffee supplies. Much more than Ive gotten in other rustic cabins. The property was easy to find due to effective signage, and the host consistently answered my questions in less than 24 hours. The walls of the cabin are thin so you can hear your neighbors well. However, most people are gone during the day and shutting the bathroom door provides additional buffer between units. We had no problems sleeping. A bonus was being visited by the ranch dogs. Each one was so sweet and well-mannered, provided us company, and helped us miss our german shepherds a little less. Without a doubt, we would stay here again and would recommend the cabin to our family and friends who we love dearly.

Loved this little ranch cabin! Yes, it's small but the bed is comfy, and the bathroom is clean with amazing water pressure in the shower. An added bonus was the four furry friends who met us upon arrival as well as a horse that loved having company. It's just a few miles outside Cody but really relaxing. Nothing beats sitting on the porch after a busy day and just enjoying the view (and the peace and quiet)!

Cozy Cabin Soderberg was an outstanding place for us while visiting Cody, WY. Very clean, very quiet and very welcoming!! We were welcomed by the two friendly dogs and the two horses were always ready for a petting. Jo and Bounty are great hosts and offer a very clean and comfortable cabin.

The bungalow was one of four set on a ranch 5 quick miles from Cody, WY. The owners' dogs (Rooster, Ellie, and Li'l Bit) came and hung out with me on the porch in the evenings. The pictures really capture the coziness of the bungalow. I could see spending a week or more here, just kicking back, and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Perfect cabin for a getaway
The cabin is very clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to meet the hosts, who are wonderful people. We even had their dogs, horse, and donkey come to greet us and make us feel at home. The entire area is beautiful and the cabin is perfect for both Yellowstone and Cody sightseeing.

My mom and I had a great time at the ranch. If more people were like Jo and Bounty, the world would be a much, much better place. They are such wonderful and funny people. The location is perfect. The dogs are beyond sweet. The scenery is beautiful. The cabins are adorable. The worst part is having to leave. If you don't stay here, you're missing out!

Our two night stay at Applejack Ranch was priceless. The owners, Jo and Bounty, are incredible people. They invite you to coffee in the morning featuring an incredible mountain view, adorable dogs and horses, a campfire, and memorable company. The cabins are so cozy, clean and charming.
