Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lakehouse retreat, nestled on a quiet cove of Lake Wylie. Enjoy your days out on the lake on the provided Kayaks or paddle boards, and then huddle around the fire with your loved ones in the evening. With two indoor wood-burning fireplaces, a fire table on the deck overlooking the lake, and a fire pit in the backyard, you'll have plenty of options. Grill up some steaks on the outdoor brick BBQ and then relax on the porch swing or comfy egg chairs.
This is a super quiet and relaxing place. Most days, the only sounds you'll hear are geese & ducks playing out in the water. Since it's on a cove and away from all the lake traffic, it's perfect for low-key activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing (all provided for you). While the lake is the main attraction, we've tried our best to make the inside of the house fun & comfortable as well. Feel free to use the two wood burning fireplaces (safely please) and watch Netflix or YouTube TV in any room of the house. There are two private bedrooms with queen beds upstairs. The rest of the beds are downstairs: Queen size sofa pull-out bed and full size bunk beds. 1 full bathroom upstairs and 1 full bathroom downstairs.
Other Notable Details:
***The main floor of this house is actually the second floor. The first and second floors have their own separate entrances with an exterior staircase connecting them. You'll need to step outside and use the covered staircase to go between the two levels. ***
Lake Wylie is a man-made lake managed by Duke Energy. That being said, Duke controls the water level by opening and closing the dam. The water level in the cove can vary for that reason and due to how much it rains. Kayaks, paddleboards, etc are always great, but sometimes it can be difficult (or maybe impossible) to get a boat through the cove and to the dock. If you plan to rent a boat, keep that in mind and either ask me about it or monitor the water level on Duke's website prior to your trip.
You may be visited by the neighbors' dogs, Roxy & Bazinga when you arrive. They may bark at first, but they are super friendly. Roxy will likely keep her distance, but Bazinga loves a good petting!
