This cabin had everything we needed to relax and enjoy! It's close to the stores and restaurants but far enough to enjoy nature and deers! Beds were comfty and there was plenty of room for a family of 5. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us!
The property was exactly as described. Very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a 3 night stay. The hosts are very easy to get a hold of, and it was a perfect get away. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin.
Love the big room!! Rained on & off all day! Nice clean cabin, saw Elk,deer and even a javalina. One comment about check out time of 10? Most places is 11! Thanks
The house was in a beautiful location. We had a great time. The snow storm provided a nice opportunity for the boys to play in the snow, which is something we don't get at home. It made for some postcard worthy pictures. The house was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The one suggestion would be to provide more towels.
We visit the surrounding areas several times per year, and I can confidently say that this is the best cabin we have ever stayed at. The property is clean and easy to get to. It's far enough from the main road through town, that it's quiet and relaxing, yet still close enough to be able to walk to the stores and diners. Plenty of wild life was seen throughout the day. The interior is nicely decorated and inviting with tons of space for families. Furniture, beds, bathrooms etc were comfortable and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute staying here, and hope to stay at this location far more often. Highly recommended!
We found the property clean, and in good order other than the food that was left in the pantry, as well as in the freezer contrary to the establish owners guidelines, the thermostat set to go no higher than 70° was no problem for the bedroom downstairs with the chimney operating body kept the upstairs master bedroom, a little cooler than ideal The issue was sold by blankets we found in the closet
The property location gives a nice feeling of isolation but it’s really close to restaurants in the town. There’s plenty of wild life early on the morning and late in the afternoon and with the snow we had during our stay. It was a very enjoyable experience overall.
The only complaint we have were the mattresses. In the master bedroom we could feel the springs of the bed. We tried sleeping in a different bedroom. It was uncomfortable also. If you plan to cook in the house, there are minimal tools for that. We bought a colander and a skillet that was big enough to fry bacon in.
The bonuses were the deer and elk in the yard each evening and early morning. Our host made sure the fireplace was in working order and there were plenty of towels and supplies.
We were coming to Cloudcroft from NC for the first time for a friend’s wedding, and we weren’t sure what to expect. We had to re-book this rental a week in advance due to an unexpected cancellation with another property. I am SO glad for that hiccup because we absolutely loved this home and our hosts! It was huge for 2 people, but we had the bride and some friends over to get ready at the house and it ended up being perfect. The layout would be great for a family or even two. There were plenty of cozy blankets for chilly nights and mornings, and we enjoyed spending time on the front porch scouting wildlife. The house is a little outside of town, but Cloudcroft IS walkable on foot (about a mile, a little less to the brewery), just bring the right shoes. We feel lucky we got to spend some time in Cloudcroft and hope to make it back one day!
We really enjoyed staying in this home in Cloudcroft. This was a great base for exploring White Sands NP, the Organ Mountains, Three Rivers Petroglyiphs and Alamogorda. The house is very well appointed (including multiple charging stations) and very comfortable. We saw some deer in the evening. The host was fantastic to work with, and we absolutely recommend this property.
The house was a great place to stay. Arranged well. Furniture and beds were comfortable. Great location. Well cared for. Host/owner was very helpful and suggested several things to do in the area. Everything went well.
The house was great. Very close to town, so it’s a great spot for those looking to shop, dine, etc. lots of nature to watch from the deck. Birds, deer, squirrels, etc all around. House is cozy and has everything you need.
We stayed 7 nights in July at the Woodlands Way chalet and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and in good condition. Furnished adequately and the beds were plenty comfortable. The smart TV and excellent WiFi was a plus.
Plenty of privacy in the pine forest yet only 5 minutes to the quaint town of Cloudcroft. We spent many evenings and mornings on the porch watching elk and mule deer grazing nearby. Norman, the host was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back.
Our family (including grandsons) had a wonderful time at this comfortable cabin in a beautiful mountain location! The amenities were everything you would need and the beds were quite comfortable! It’s easy access to Cloudcroft and other activities in the area (fishing, White Sands, Sunspot Observatory and lots of hiking). We loved watching the deer and elk and hummingbirds from the front and back porches! Great place to getaway from the Texas summer heat! Host was available and responsive. Would love to return!
Woodlands Way cabin was an exemplary accommodation. Located close to restaurants and shops but situated in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by forest. Front deck, master balcony and back porch all wonderful for wildlife and bird viewing. In fact, a sweet pair of Western Flycatchers have built a nest on the back porch soffit. The owners of this cabin have put careful thought into providing appropriate supplies, kitchen ware, and toiletries such as shampoo, soaps, hair dryer etc. Beds are super comfortable and split-level layout of cabin sequesters master bed-bath suite with accompanying balcony nicely. The host was very responsive (I didn’t now how to stream a show, lol). The cabin was extraordinarily clean. Happy to rate this accommodation 10/10. Book early as I expect it is destined to a popular choice.
