Perfect location and well stocked
This house was perfectly located as we could walk to everything we need. The house was well stocked with everything you need around the house (with the exception of shampoo/soap in the bathroom), so it was pretty awesome all-around. Would highly recommend this place for anyone!

Charming house in an ideal location, thoughtfully provided for every want and need - our family had a wonderful experience! We could walk to any shop or restaurant and were very close to hiking trails. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious house with something for everyone
The house is located close to the village and is spacious, with a nice sized kitchen. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the living room but also in their rooms upstairs (four) which was nice for when we wanted a little more space. We liked it and will stay here if this is available on our future trips here.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. Really can’t say enough good things. Super easy check in/check out. Very clean, great decor, comfy, clean beds. Plenty of room for large families! So conveniently located - we walked to Burro street every day. We hope to come back next year!! Thank you for everything - what a great host!

We have been here twice in 3 months and we will be back. It’s so comfortable and convenient. We had 3 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of room. Walking distance to shopping and dining and the trailheads. Beds and linens are so comfortable. Even the kids said they had never slept better. Love it!

This home is so comfortable. It’s beautifully decorated with quality furniture, beds, linens, and kitchen wares. I wanted to live in the chair and a half by the front window. So well stocked and super clean. Plenty of room for a big family or multiple families. The backyard is small-ish but perfect for sitting around the fire pit. The location is perfect - we walked to the shops and hiking trails. The owner is super responsive. We will definitely be back again!

True Gem
Where do I even begin?! The Chubby Chipmunk was a new listing in Vrbo when we booked. It had zero reviews so we really didn’t know what to expect. This is also our first time ever renting a house versus hotels. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is so clean. There is enough room for probably 15 people. There are 4 rooms upstairs (2 kings, 2 queens) and a spacious bathroom. There is a master suite downstairs and it’s perfect if you want to be tucked away because you can’t hear a thing. The home had every thing that we would need from wood fire sticks for s’mores to a large pan to cook our Christmas turkey. It is conveniently located to Alamogordo. We visited the Alameda Park Zoo and White Sands one day. The drive down is captivating. Another day we drove an hour into Ruidoso for the casino and Ruidoso Winter park. The other days we checked out Cloudcroft. Brothers BBQ is amazing, there’s ice skating and the downtown shops are in walking distance. There’s also a Family Dollar nearby for your needs. The staff there are so friendly. My only gripe is that on the first night after a few showers the water heater stopped working and we had to wait until the morning for it to come back on. The other days we timed showers to every 30 minutes and took short showers so the hot water would last. This isn’t a big deal if you don’t have 10 or more guests. Stacy was very attentive to our concerns and scheduled someone to come out but the heater kicked back on by morning. Plus, we adapted and all the other positives heavily overruled the water heater issue. Some tips for anyone staying here- bring some saline gel for your nose as the air is thin and will dry your nasal passages. Also some Tylenol as you might get a light headache from the lack of oxygen. Overall this place is a true gem. It’s something out of a movie and it was a dream come true for myself and my family to make this happen. I can’t wait to return to the Chubby Chipmunk!

Halloween Fun In Cloudcroft
This property was a fantastic location. It was easy to access downtown with a very short walk. The home is spacious and has enough room to not be on top of each other with a large group. The owner is very responsive and addresses any concerns. We enjoyed this beautiful home and the nightly deer that traveled through the neighborhood. I would definitely stay at this location again in the future when we come to town to participate in the Halloween festivities.

Wonderful Getaway in Cloudcroft.
Excellent location in Cloudcroft - near downtown area. Five wonderful bedrooms that can easily accommodate large group gatherings. Host was very accommodating and had great communication. Highly recommend this mountain retreat.
