Mountain Getaway
Great location to getaway and relax. You can start hikkng the Rim Trail right outside the front door! It was cold so we couldn’t really enjoy the patio but the wood pellet stove was nice and kept us cozy in the living / kitxhen area.

We wanted a space to relax. This spot was perfect. It was chilly and raining out. We literally did nothing but relax, watch movies and sleep in. We will be back with our kids. It was very comfy and not to far from all the action down town.

This quiet getaway was especially well equipped with everything you might need! The hosts thought of everything and this was one of my best stays in Cloudcroft! The location is ideal and the cabin is a location that I will visit again!

The great escape
Just what we had hoped for. Perfect weather. Great mountain air with wonderful daytime temps. We live in Tucson. Need I say any more? Cloud Croft is a wonderful spot with lots to do including fine dining at The Lodge Looking forward to spending a month at this location in June 2023, God willing

Worth the wai
We were suppose to stay in 2020 but this little CV-19 bug came around and shut things down. So after two years we were able to find an opening in the schedule to finally enjoy “The Bear Cabin” as we refer to it. Great communications with the owners and the cabin has all you need for a short or long term stay. Looking forward to another visit and opportunity to stay in Cloudcroft and in particular this cabin.

Great cabin!
Our family of 3 loved this cabin. The cabin was very clean. The kitchen had all the things needed for cooking a few meals, even some spices in the cabinet we wouldn't have thought to bring! The seating and beds were comfortable, and set up well for travelers. The cabin itself is situated near town on a street with other small cabins and condos, but not so close to get heavy traffic noise. We could have probably walked to town distance wise, but we didn't feel comfortable doing so with a child in tow along on the main road (no dedicated path on a curvy road). We loved the little outdoor deck, and were able to see the starry sky between the tall trees surrounding the property. Our initial plans were derailed when the forest closed just prior to our arrival, but the host was helpful with alternate suggestions of nearby places to visit. We had no problems finding things to do, and could have easily spent a few more days in the area if our schedule would have allowed. I would highly recommend this place!

Very Nice Stay in Cloudcroft
The home was very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much because there were several good restaurants in town. There is a nice sitting area in the yard to drink your morning coffee and watch birds. If you plan to cook, it's best to pick up groceries prior to arriving in Cloudcroft. The town is reasonably close to both White Sands and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks, at least by rural west standards. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise at night. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Great little cabin
This was the perfect cabin to come home to with my boys after exploring White Sands National Park and Lincoln National Forest. It had everything we needed to cook our meals, was very clean, and the hosts were very responsive. Thank you!

Well organized, clean and convenient
Everything is labeled and well provided for a great stay of 5 nights. 2 minutes from forest service office to get info on 100 hiking trails in the National Forest and close enough to the village area to walk, if you like. Neighbors were also nice. Close to golf course too.

Lovely town and cute cabin
Enjoyed our stay and first (but not last) visit to Cloudcroft. Cabin is close enough to Alamogordo and White Sands to see the sites there. Enjoyed how everything was SO close to the cabin. Cabin was comfortable and charming. Thanks for providing the sand/snow sleds! Definitely saved us time and money during our visit to White Sands.
