Love Duluth but want to be able to escape the hustle? Come unwind in our pet-friendly, cozy log home nestled on two acres at the end of a quiet neighborhood road. Walk or snowshoe in the 20 acres of adjacent woods, rejuvenate in the sauna then let the massage chair work your aches and worries away! Located 9 miles from Jay Cooke State Park and 22 miles from Duluth, we offer the perfect blend of seclusion, convenience, natural and modern comforts all year round.

This home offers two bedrooms downstairs—one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds—and a loft with a queen bed and space for additional sleeping arrangements if needed. In the loft, revel in the open layout overlooking the main floor, and take advantage of the massage chair for ultimate relaxation. Please note that there are no window treatments in the loft, but eye masks are provided for those sensitive to light.

The main floor bath has a jetted tub while downstairs, unwind in the sauna located in the lower-level bathroom, which comfortably accommodates two people. Enhance your sauna experience with a selection of essential oils available for use. Welcome to your serene escape!

A few things to be aware of:
• This property is not accessible. There is a flight of stairs to reach the front door, and the bedrooms are on different levels from the great room.
• Although we have regular pest control services, the property is near the woods and though we try to keep the creepy crawlies at bay, there are some that succeed in breaking the rules. If you see one or two, you can escort them back outside or take care of them as you wish. If you see several, please do let me know as soon as possible so I can take care of it.
• This is a 30-year-old log home with a boiler system. There are creaks in the floors in spots and sometimes the pipes make noise ("clink") for a few minutes.
• We have motion sensing cameras covering the front door/driveway as well as the back door for security reasons. These are not to be covered, disconnected or altered in any way. There is a motion sensing light on the garage that follows motion to light your way up the stairs to the front door. This is NOT a camera.
• We do require a signed rental agreement and it is required that the person who signs the agreement is present for the entire stay. Third-party bookings are not allowed and will result in immediate cancellation.
• Many things can happen that cause someone's travel plans to change. It is highly advisable to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase travel insurance so if you must cancel outside of our allowable cancellation policy you can still be reimbursed.

We loved it
A great cabin that feels like you are deep in the woods but are actually near town. Our dogs loved running around the yard. Enjoyed all the amenities and the quiet neighborhood. Easy to cook in the huge kitchen while visiting and watching Christmas shows. We hope to be back!

Family Four Wheeling Vaca
6 adults, an infant, and 3 dogs! We were a full house but it was cozy and secluded while still close to amenities. We loved all the space of the property for the dogs. The wrap around porch was quite the treat to enjoy the early fall weather. The home was also well stocked with all supplies. Only “bummer” was not having 6 kitchen table chairs. Loved the beds- super comfy!

Serene and Beautiful

Perfect long weekend getaway
The cabin is so cozy and welcoming. It was the perfect place to spend time to celebrate our anniversary with our two small dogs. I can't recommend or love this place more! We'll definitely be back!

A Perfect Family Retreat

Extended weekend stay

Perfect Stay for Grandma's Marathon!
This cabin was everything friends and I needed during our weekend stay for Grandma's Marathon in Duluth. It was only a 25-minute drive from downtown Duluth, which was very reasonable. Cloquet is a nice little town too, with local bars, several grocery stores, etc. From the outside, the cabin has a rustic aesthetic, complete with a fire pit and wrap-around deck. But the rustic exterior is perfectly balanced with the modern amenities inside, which turn a seemingly barebones cabin into a luxurious glamping vibe. The kitchen had modern appliances, well-stocked with cookware and accessories we needed to cook a big meal after the half marathon. All four beds were comfy and left us feeling refreshed. I really liked the loft above the living room, which we described as the ideal place to take a nap, especially during a rainstorm with the skylights. The massage chair was a nice touch. There was even an electric sauna, which was greatly appreciated by my Finnish friend, who felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly responsive, answering questions over text, and even offered special accommodations upon request. The booking process was straightforward, two installment payments, plus a reasonable security deposit. My friends all thanked me for booking a great weekend getaway (we are all lawyers who needed to escape the stress of Minneapolis). If you book this cabin, I'm sure your friends will thank you too!
