The Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland is fast becoming a popular gastronomic destination too, with many great pubs and restaurants serving local cuisine within a short distance from Corgill Farm Cottages. The many picturesque rural villages within the Trough of Bowland including Slaidburn, Newton and Downham, to name just a few, can all be reached within 15 minutes, and all have a village pub. The popular market town of Clitheroe, with its castle, many individual shops, bars and restaurants, is just 6¼ miles away. For cyclists, Gisburn Forest Mountain Biking Centre is only 3½ miles away and has been featured in many mountain biking books and magazines.
