"These people were not ready to receive guests. Room was small, stuffy, and crowded with nick-knacks. No shelf space at all. There was no desk nor space to open luggage. The air conditioning barely worked. There was a profound lack of privacy. The host's study was adjacent to our room and the host was in the room when we went to bed and when we got up the next day. Creepy! We checked out early after one night. Please refund two nights."

"The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. Also it’s not too far from Bar Harbor and Arcadia."

"If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, and relaxing place to stay in Maine in the fall, there can't possibly be a better choice in the Bangor/Brewer area. The Cabin in the Woods is magnificent and fit the bill perfectly for my wife and I as a place to headquarter for touring the area by vehicle. We covered a lot of miles off the beaten path in three days to view and photograph colorful foilage, waterfalls, and moose (no moose though), and it was great to return each day to such a comfortable...

"Wonderful camp, just magnificent views of the pond. The road was tough (unpaved), but it was so quiet. Again we went in October. Inside was very clean and nice, just like the photos they had on the website. We took drive to Bar Harbor very nice 👌 "

"Our stay was wonderful. The surroundings were very peaceful. The cottage was smaller than we anticipated, but it was very well done and clean! Location was a little far from Acadia NP, but we didn’t mind the drive, especially because the cost of the cabins were very inexpensive. We’d stay again! Wonderful vacation!"

"My stay was pleasant and without incident. The facility was quiet, clean and there was plenty of parking. The front desk agent was kind and efficient; check in and out was a breeze. The room was very nice, clean and stocked with lots of towels. The complimentary breakfast was really good and the coffee was excellent. The hotel had a 15% off coupon for Kobe Ninja Steakhouse. This was the first time I had ever gone to a steak house and the food was so bad. We were not pleased with the food and the service could’ve been better. I would suggest going to one of the other restaurants in the area. Other than dinner, my stay was great and definitely would stay again and recommend them to friends and family. "
