Relax in this 1903 converted farmhouse that retains hints of the original farm charm! This 1st floor apartment is located just 3 miles from downtown Cleveland or a 7 minute drive to the Cleveland Clinic, Browns Stadium or Progressive Field. Additionally, this apartment offers free off-street private parking. Flying in? This VRBO is less than 15 minutes away or a $15 Uber ride. Enjoy a small town feel with city proximity.

**9/17/24 had the front porch (main entrance) rebuilt and the iron handrail stabilized. Added a photo of the stairs and handrail.


Dining/Kitchen Highlights:
The Cle Retreat is located on the 1st floor of the house with 1 private entrance through the front door of the house. Upon entrance guests will find a full-size dining table and chairs to host a dinner party if they want! The apartment offers a large spacious kitchen equipped with a full-size oven/stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, & toaster oven. In addition to the kitchen appliances, the cabinets & drawers are stocked with various cooking tools, dishware, & utensils.

Bathroom Highlights:
Off the kitchen guests will find the bathroom that offers a full-size shower stall and plenty of hot water. The bathroom is on the smaller side, but functional for your bathroom needs.

Bedroom Highlights:
Off the family room is the single bedroom that features a plush bamboo memory foam queen mattress decorated with large goose down pillows. The bedroom features a sweet little reading nook, a clothing rack with hangers, an iron & ironing board. At the base of the bed is a flat screen television that offers free Netflix on a private wireless network & Roku for logging into other channels such as HBO or Hulu.

Family Room Highlights:
The family room offers a queen pullout sofa that can comfortably sleep 2 extra people. We also offer a flat screen Roku TV where guests can access their Netflix or other network accounts on a private wireless network. In the corner of the room guests will find a sweet tin top table for those that need to get work done. Lastly, the entire apartment is equipped with its own central furnace & window A/C units that are under the control of the guest.

Yard/Parking Highlights:
The retreat is located on a large unfenced property that offers a large grassy backyard for guests with small children who want to safely run around & get some fresh air. Lastly, the retreat offers one free private parking on the premises that is under 24hour camera surveillance, which is ideal for guests traveling with a fully packed vehicle. The retreat is located in a very safe family friendly neighborhood with the police station located one street over.

PETS: Pets are allowed with the additional cost of $15 per pet - per night. Limited to 3 pets per stay.

Stay here. It's a beautiful place.
Everything about this place is wonderful. Me, my husband, and our 2 year old son stayed here. It's cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved every room of the unit. Book this place. You won't regret it.

Very convenient but rickety stairs
The place was great but the front steps were warped and moved when you step on them. Unfortunately, the handrail was so loose it provided no stability. My Mom would not have been able to use the stairs without help

Great spot
I had a quick day with Cleveland and was about the city looking for coffee, art and fun social activities. Which was great to come home from. Quirky spot, but it worked well for a visit. Made myself at home with the fridge and coffee. Shower was decent. Slept like a baby even with the snow fall.

Steps to front door need work, stain on couch, front door area needs cleaning, A/C were two window units, very hot in there upon arrival, no toaster, seal around front A/C poor, it stormed b4 we arrived, water under chair and chair was wet. Yard unmanicured. I would be embarrassed to invite friends. Will think twice about using VRBO again.

The property was exactly as listed . We stayed one night out of 3 because the event we where in town for was canceled for the corona virus. I messaged the owner asking for a refund per vrbo corona virus updates policies, and she has refused to assist in anyway.

Comfortable and Clean
An older home that was comfortable enough and clean, although I asked three times and was assured there were 2 queen bedrooms and one queen sofa bed. There is one queen bed, one full/double bed and one queen sofa bed. Also, there is only one way in and out of the unit. Two other doors to the outside are locked that you cannot exit from - safety issue for me (and likely a fire code violation).

Considerations
We did have a nice stay, the hosts were very responsive to questions, the home is clean, the area is close to downtown. This is an old 2 story neighborhood home. With that, the floor plan is reconfigured to accommodate 2 bedrooms and there is some wonkiness to the layout. Hallway to master bedroom is narrow. The shower is not located in the master bathroom. Bathroom shower off of kitchen is very narrow. A larger person would not fit with adequate enough room. With first impressions, the outside of the home needs some attention. Super cute inside decor, kitchen well equipped, bedding was comfy. All in all, we had a very nice stay.

I had no communication with the host. I was standing in the rain waiting for an answer on how to get in. We finally communicated and got in. The place was just ok. The 2 bathrooms were so tiny. I woke up in the middle of the night freezing. There were instructions to operate the radiator but I didn't have my glasses and couldn't read it. So we just left because it was so cold.

Enjoyable Stay - First Time Using VRBO
This was my first time using a service such as VRBO or any other similar service, stayed the weekend in Cleveland to visit some family located nearby. The home was clean and as described. Everything was well-stocked as described. Beds were very comfortable for me and my son's stay. We did not use the home either than pretty much to sleep and get ready in the mornings, but the kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals if needed, and there was a nice sized dining room table should we had to prepare and eat there. The off-street parking was a plus! I have to mention that the stand-up shower was not very roomy, my son and I are both big guys, but it worked fine for our needs to just get ready in the AM for a few days over a weekend. To finish, the host was very responsive to all of my questions, and I had a few as this was my first time using a service like this, so I was very appreciative of the quick responses! Overall, would stay again if/when I return to visit my family in Cleveland! Thank you for hosting us!

Nice place for Cleveland Clinic access
Needed an easy place to stay for some appointments at Cleveland Clinic. This fit the bill. I will say the rooms are a little smaller then you would expect from the pictures but it is clean and cozy.

The property was clean, neighborhood was very nice, plenty of parking, walking distance to a lot of places. We picked this place to stay while we were attending a concert at the Agora Theater. Great place to stay and would return for another Cleveland trip.

Grandma core!
The kitchen in this place is simply adorable. The “grandma core” look was a huge attractor for us, along with being so close to the lake. This stay was perfect for a little overnight get away with my best friend. The beds were very comfortable and the lightweight quilts they had on the beds were so nice we asked the hosts where they bought them so we could buy a set of our own! The hosts went above and beyond, hunting down the site where they purchased the quilts, so they could get that info to us- which we really appreciated. The shower bathroom is a bit snug but for our purposes it was just fine since we were just washing the lake off us on our return. The neighborhood was quiet, and even with another guest staying in another part of the home it was a very peaceful experience. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend stay!

We needed a place to stay close to our daughter’s wedding venue. Old build that brought back fun memories. Very clean and comfortable. The outside was well lit and the location is in a great neighborhood, We felt very safe. If we ever need a place to stay around that area we would definitely stay again.

Great weekend visit
We had a great stay here. The house was super clean and had a lot of character being an older home. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space in the bedrooms and kitchen for our things. We enjoyed walking to a local establishment one evening. The commute to downtown Cleveland was only about 10-15 minutes on a weekend and we had no issues getting Lyfts quickly.
