"The place was very tired and the cleanliness could be improved. I found a the stalk from a buch of grapes by the side of the bed which i was surprised was missed if the floors had supposedly been hoovered!? The ajoining restaurant/pub was good. Great service and food was good (not great but value for money). The maon thing for me was the convenient parking."

"The kyle hotel is much bigger than I expected. The exterior photos do not do it justice at all. The interior is much nicer although it is in need of investment and updating, such as double glazed windows and modern internal doors. The ensuite bathroom do appear to have been recently refitted.I found this to be a very good base close to the Skye Bridge with a choice of exploring the island of sky or the surrounding mainland areas. "

"Although we enjoyed staying at the hotel it is important to realise that there is no on site parking, it seems there is normally street parking 50 metres up the road, not sure how it easy it would be to park "in season". "The Lochaline Hotel is located in the tiny village of Lochaline, which is reached by a rather long drive on a single-track road. Although remote, the hotel rewards a stay with its peacefulness. It is located right on the sound. The ferry runs frequently to Mull and no reservation is needed. Our hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful.
