Embark on your greatest adventure! Seven beautiful acres of Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine with river views and peek-a-boo views of the Stewart Mountain Range. Teanaway River Cabin is perched above the wild Teanaway North Fork River. In the summer, the Teanaway North Fork water volume decreases and warms making it a playground with many swimming holes and places to wade and explore. River shoes make walking in the river more comfortable. There are very few cabins on the North Fork making the area a wilderness. Elk, deer, beaver, and turkeys are commonly seen. Less commonly seen, but tracks and feces indicate their presence, are cougar, coyote, and bear. It’s just a 24-minute drive to Cle Elum for groceries, restaurants, and other activities.
The Teanaway is your gateway to fabulous outdoor recreation! Gravel forest service roads take hikers, mountain bikers, climbers, and horseback riders to remote backcountry regions with strenuous hikes like Esmerelda Basin/Lake Ann and Red Top Lookout for agate rock hunting. Easy hikes like Cheese Rock, are just a five-minute drive away. There is a new nine-hole frisbee golf course at the Teanaway Campground, about a five-minute drive or twenty-minute walk from the cabin. A Discover Pass is required for hiking and disc golf. Flying Horseshoe Ranch is just a 15-minute drive away and offers guided trail rides. Other hotspots nearby include the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth, Roslyn Mining Town, river rafting down the Yakima River, and Suncadia Resort's Golf Course.
The winter brings deep snow with significantly more snow than the accumulation in Cle Elum. Want even more snow? Just drive five miles to the end of the North Fork Road. The snow deepens with each mile as you near the Twentynine Pines campground turn-around for winter recreation. There are countless wild areas to snowshoe and cross-country ski in the Teanaway. Groomed trails are available at Salmon La Sac near Rosalyn, about a 40-minute drive from the cabin. A Snow Park Pass is required.
Back at your stay, the cabin offers five bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It offers three unique indoor common areas - the living room, the sunroom, and the TV area upstairs. This provides you with several choices of places to gather or get away from the crowd and enjoy solitude. The TV area has a smart TV with Starlink satellite network internet services. When you aren't streaming a new show or movie, the cabin contains plenty of board games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment.
Outside, the deck is huge and overlooks the river, resembling a tree house with its lining of trees. The north end of the deck is covered and offers a cluster of patio furniture for gathering. The south end of the deck offers two patio recliners. The center of the deck offers a dining table and chairs - the perfect spot to end another day at Teanaway River Cabin.
