The Historic Clarkdale Lodge is your adventure headquarters!

The Clarkdale Lodge is centrally located for your northern Arizona adventure! Close to the Verde Canyon Railroad, just down the hill from the historic mining town of Jerome, 25 minutes from the red rocks of Sedona, and an hour from Flagstaff, Clarkdale offers Verde River rafting, wine tasting, restaurants, an art gallery and a world famous Copper Museum.
This great Historic building was the single men's lodging during the mining town's boom. (Ladies were not welcome after 4pm!) The Lodge is located across the street from the Clarkdale Square and Gazebo. The apartment is newly remodelled and fully furnished with a king bed and a queen sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully equipped for dining and cooking. Also included are cable, wifi, and blu-ray wi-fi player for your streaming access.

Nice place for the history and age. Really needed the ground floor because of being handicapped, but nice view from second floor.

Great Location, Clean, Quiet, Safe & Walkable.
Clarkdale is a little town nestled in the mountains between Jerome, Cottonwood and Sedona and is a good base for holidays in the Verde Valley. We rented unit 202, upstairs at the front of the building for two weeks in February/March 2018 and found it to be very livable. The internet is fast and reliable, cell service is good and there is a laundromat nearby. The Lodge is surrounded by quiet streets which are ideal for dog walking and meeting the locals. We had a great time and will come back again.

Missing Bedding
Assumption was made since there were two people, they would use the bed. We had no linens for the sleeper sofa, but they were delivered upon a phone call. Crumbs under the cushions, very bad mattress. Good location for Sedona.

Great value with a spacious, quiet apartment
We were very impressed with the Clarkdale Lodge--a nice alternative to high-priced Sedona. If you shop till you drop and eat at fancy restaurants every night, then this is probably not your spot. But if you want a clean, quiet lodging in a charming small town where real people live--but with easy access to the sights and hiking trails of Sedona a half hour or so away, this is perfect! The bed was comfortable, the service excellent, and we enjoyed Clarkdale, a sleepy town that is just starting to come back into its own with a nice copper museum, a few galleries, cafes, and a good Mexican restaurant. A relaxing spot out of the hustle-and-bustle.

Sweet & Simple
It's older, but clean and charming. We had a wonderful corner room which was very comfortable. Everything we needed was in the room and there is a laundromat just a block or two from the lodge. This made it convenient for cleaning our hiking clothes. Verde Canyon Railroad, Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Tuzigoot National Monument, and the Arizona Copper Art Museum are just a few of the many treasures within Clarkdale or a few miles walk or drive. When in Clarkdale, be sure to sample some of the local brews or enjoy brunch/lunch at Violette's or the Main Street cafe. All within walking distance of the lodge.

Such a great place.
I and my husband stayed at the Clarkdale Lodge for a week on vacation. The flat is a second floor unit so you need to be ok with stairs. It was beautifully decorated, super clean, and so peaceful. The kitchen, bath, and bedroom were all fully stocked. We did arrive in monsoon season so we had to run the a/c units, but were very comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you want to travel to lots of places in Northern and Central AZ. We visited Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Sedona, Jerome, Cottonwood, and Prescott. Nothing felt too far away. The Mexican resturant next door is good but you simply must eat in old town Cottonwood while you are here. The Tavern, Red Rooster Cafe, and Ancient Pillars were our favorites. They are literally right around the corner from Clarkdale. Firehouse Donuts is also close and really good. So many areas were pet friendly around us I will definitely consider bringing our Westie next time. We loved our visit to Arizona, and finding this historic little gem of the Clarkdale Lodge felt like icing on the cake.

Room needs to be fumigated
When opening the bed, several moths flew out. Moving pillows, sheets, curtains, towels and any cloth items were infested with moths. After putting my own bar of soap in the shower, and entering it later…a large roach was on it. Furniture was a mix of secondhand castoffs. The entry had multiple flowerpots with dead plants.. unkept grounds. The room I reserved in February was not available. Was given another.. The Lodge has great potential, but little effort is given to improve it.

Cottonwood and Clarkdale ---> Sedona
This building is probably over 100 years old, so much of the infrastructure has been upgraded to support modern technology and utilities, electricity, cable, plumbing, etc. I am so glad we stayed here instead of Sedona. Cottonwood Old Town is fantastic and we loved Jerome and Clarkdale too.

Very cute and quaint property, just enough for what we were looking for. Owner was very responsive to questions and place was clean and tidy. Would recommend if wanting an affordable place to stay while visiting Sedona 😊

The Best Morning Light
We were very comfortable in #202. Loved waking up to the sunrise and enjoyed the panoramic view from the back deck. The location is perfect for appreciating the mellow Clarkdale vibe. When our coffeemaker malfunctioned, the hosts responded immediately and replaced it with a new one. We would definitely return!

Great time at Clarkdale Lodge
Really enjoyed our time. The only suggestion would be to come up with a better, more permanent situation for the shower pole and a longer shower curtain in suite 202.
