Romantic Waterfront Shabby Chic Cabin on the Clark Fork River! #SwankyCabin

This charming shabby chic and private waterfront cabin is a wonderful place for two people who want to get away from it all! Our romantic Swanky Cabin is newly renovated and features an open floor plan, one loft bedroom with a Layla queen bed, a full bathroom with shower and washer and dryer. The living room features a wood burning fireplace, high-speed internet, 2 large flat screen TV's, pool table and a large sectional sleeper sofa. The well-equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area make this a great spot to dine in . You can also BBQ on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Clark Fork River and enjoy dining in natures finest!
During the summer enjoy some of North Idaho’s best fishing, unlimited hiking, swimming, crawdad hunting, kayaking and basking in the warm sun! After enjoying a long day on the river, head in to watch a DVD, play some pool or choose a board game to play.

Please note: during snowy winter months 4wd is required. You must drive down a mini semi-steep hill for parking. We will have snow plowing during winter months and we ask that you move your vehicle when the plow comes by so they can clear the entire driveway. Also, depending how long your stay is, we may need to come by and shovel the snow off the deck and the front entry way, but we will be sure to give advanced notice. You are more than welcome to it yourself if you would would prefer privacy. If you have any questions or need any additional photos of parking, please reach out anytime.

Great little getaway

Fantastic weekend getaway
This was one of the best VRBO’s I’ve stayed in (we’ve traveled and stayed in a lot). Very clean inside, so many special touches and everything you would need is there. Great, peaceful location. Absolutely would recommend!

Incredible river front stay
Peaceful and serene. Everything you need for 2 people. Right on the river wirh wondsrful big windows all along the river side of the house so even in cold weather you can enjoy the river. Nice deck and lounging areas riverside also. Basics all covered inside the house for a comfortable stay.

Loved the peace and quiet! Well needed it! Everything in the cabin was well kept and beautiful. Just a note there were no curtains when we stayed that was a little surprising but none the less still was relaxing get away!

I wish I could give the cabin and host 10 stars. The cabin is spotless and the host has thought of everything, both inside and out. Communication was easy and you simply could not ask for a more peaceful atmosphere. I wish we could stay for a month!

A peaceful reset
It’s a wonderful place to get away and recharge while enjoying the River, due to fire season we didn’t get the enjoy it as much as we’d hoped. The pool table, games, and music made for a fun indoor vacation. We did brave the smoke on our second day and paddled the river which was so serene. It’s nice to enjoy the water without the plethora of boats that occupy the lake!

Great getaway!
We wanted to hide out without kids and this was the perfect spot! The river is gorgeous, the deck is lovely, and the house is the perfect size for two. You can even enjoy a firepit (when it's not fire season!) The photos are accurate... The cabin is very nicely decorated and equipped as well as quiet and peaceful. We didn't even see other people. We hope to be back!

Absolute paradise!
Jennifer is fantastic. Property is just as amazing. I could come back every year and love it just as much every time. The view is amazing and spent most of my time on the pictured swing, staring at the scenery. House had everything I needed. Area was super quiet, but only 5 minutes or so from town. In town there's a market, some restaurants, gas, etc. It was the perfect place to realistically disconnect from the crazy city and "life".

Swanky Cabin Delivers Sweet Solitude
This cozy river front cabin is perfect for a quiet getaway. Fly fishing from the river bank was one of our favorite memories. We caught and released some very nice sized rainbow trout and a few small mouth bass. The Clark Fork merchant store had butter and some of the other items we did not pack and the store was just a short 10 minute drive from the cabin. The bed in the loft was very comfortable but we would agree with other people reviewing this cabin that you need to be careful when climbing up and down from the loft. We loved the fact that there was a TV in the loft and we laid in bed and watched Netflix. The pool table was also a lot of fun and the pool sticks and table were in excellent condition. We left the cabin well rested and can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very welcoming home
This was such a warm and welcoming home. All the personal touched make you feel like an invited guest and not just a renter. Everything was well stocked and clean. The view was beautiful, we caught some fish in the river and just relaxed. Something to note: there is a railroad track across the river, trains can be loud. We have lived around trains or whole lives so we didn't view this as a negative but it did surprise us because we had no idea it was there. We did wish more of the windows had screens, especially the one in the loft, so we could open the windows and enjoy the cool evenings. Don't miss "Scotchmen's Coffee" or The Pantry" in town, such amazing local gems.

Incredible stay
This was an amazing experience for my girlfriend and I. The cabin is exactly as advertised. As soon as you arrive you can see and feel the warmth and thoughtfulness that the owners put into this place. We had our coffee on the swing on the river every morning watching the sunrise and taking in the beautiful scenery. The little town of Clark Fork is only about ten minutes away and has all you should need, including their awesome bakery and store that hand made us a excellent pizza to take back to the cabin and cook. I will say if you are dealing with any mobility issues, this may be a difficult place to navigate for you. The bed is up a flight of stairs on an elevated platform and any needs to get out of bed for bathroom or kitchen needs can be a little tricky on tired or sleepy legs. I can recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting to get off the grid for a few days and enjoy the nature and the tranquility that comes with the cabin's rental fees!

Elegant Getaway Spot
This place is the best bargain available. It is right on the beautiful Clark Fork River Delta with bald eagles soaring overhead. Jenn has covered every possible amenity you could think of and more. The kitchen and bathrooms having everything you need to relax, cook your own meals and recharge your battery. If you prefer to eat out there are several places in nearby Hope and Sandpoint. We also loved shopping and sightseeing in Sandpoint. My husband caught several fish which we cooked and enjoyed. We really appreciated having fishing poles and lures available for our use while we were there. There are 100s of DVDs to watch and a wonderful music library to enjoy while you play a game or two of pool. We brought our hammock and I'm so glad we did. What a perfect spot to read a book and enjoy a glass of wine! Which reminds me that Jenn even had beer and limes in the fridge when we got there! I highly recommend this place.

Perfect relaxing getaway
This was a beautiful property and amazing home! With every little thing put in the home with love and care, you can tell! We had a blast playing pool, enjoying the views, and paddle boarding. You do have to scale the hill with a rope to the river but we didn’t have any issues! Still got the paddle boards down , we did have to carry them up a bit to prevent the water rise at night washing them away. We had a very friendly pup visit us by the water and swing who wanted nothing but to play! What a joy! Neighbors were no bother and still seems to be pretty private from them. Sadly we could not have any fires due to the season but I’m sure they’d be beautiful, instead we watched the helicopters collect water from the river for the nearby fires. We used our paddle boards to go about two miles up river to the fish hatchery and back and explored all the woods and beautiful mountain run off spots further up off shore. I love to explore new places every year and this will definitely be one of my favorites! Very memorable and anything I didn’t have was supplied for my forgetful self. Easy instructions and amazing hosts. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Romantic Get-Away
This is a very unique cabin. We felt like we were back in the 60’s and 70’s. Every spot in the house was specifically decorated with thoughtful things to help your stay to be peaceful and relaxing. Being so close to the river added to the serene setting, while relaxing on the back porch. There are 2 TV’s, but we only used one to insert the music download. Good choices, to once again, help with decompressing from the crazy world around us. We highly recommend this VRBO.

wonderful peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway!
We stayed here for a little anniversary getaway. The home was so nicely done and lots of personal touches everywhere. You could tell the hosts really thought of everything and were so thorough in their communication, directions, and all the little ways to make it so enjoyable. We loved playing pool and the record player. We loved that the outdoor area was so well-shaded for the very hot days we were there. Eating on the deck and the lounge chairs by the river was so nice. The home was the perfect size. Very comfy bed and loved the loft set-up for it. Tons of DVDs, records and games for entertainment. Well-stocked kitchen and bathroom for everything. It wasn't an issue for us but I would say the access to the water for recreation could be tricky for some people. There was a switchback trail with some slippery spots with nothing to hold onto and then a rope to sort of belay down which we used mostly except when carrying things. Again, not an issue or complaint just something to be aware of for accessing the river. We took our own inflatable paddleboard and kayak and went out in the morning when the river water level was lower and calmer. The water level did rise throughout the day and paddling upriver was a workout but still manageable. We had just the best time and were so glad we found this little peaceful corner for a quick weekend away. Highly recommend!!

Serenity on the Clark River
We loved this place! A quiet and super clean cabin in the woods on the Clark River offers beautiful views perfect for a romantic and restful fall retreat. The hosts were quickly available by email or phone to answer all our questions.House offered all we would need to enjoy a comfortable visit. The house and grounds are definitely not for folks with mobility issues as the bed is upstairs in the loft and to get down to the river from the property you have a very steep bank to maneuver down with the help of a sturdy rope attached to a tree. Very doable for able bodied folks. Not do much for me. This fact did not dampen my love for the beauty of this North Idaho gem. Whether you're wanting to stay on site to enjoy the view, play pool while listening to a favorite record, enjoying a glass of wine on the deck or exploring all the surrounding activities and beautiful scenery, you'll enjoy this sweet cabin on the river. We know, we'll definitely visit again.

This was everything we could have asked for. We were on a short get away for our anniversary and this was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful setting, peaceful, and the property owners were a dream to work with from the beginning.
