Loved our stay. Clean and perfect. Everything you need and so much to do within walking distance from the cabin. The area is beautiful. Great hikes and wildlife.
Loved the stay. We were visiting family in the area it was a great alternative to a hotel room. Lots of space and a short drive to Clark Fork. Many thanks to the property owners.
Cabin was really cozy and inviting didnt stay but two nights but was really nice to come to after a long day of fishing on the lake. We took Northstar charters and was like fishing with family. Would come back to this cabin again. If you love the outdoors this is the place for you
We had a great weekend here. The cabin is very clean and owners close by if we need anything. A short walk to the creek and a short drive from a ton of other activities.
This cabin is located just outside of town but feels remote. It is clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The views are amazing and the hosts really have thought of everything. The cabin is on the host’s property, as clearly noted, but you would never know it. It has its own driveway and is a good distance from the main house. We cannot wait to stay here again!
Rented cabin for our fishing headquarters. Close to the creek. Beautiful setting. Comfortable cabin with all of the requirements. Owner checked with us to see if we needed anything.
Really enjoyed. Private bedroom for my wife and I. Loft bedroom w two twins for my daughter and friend. Camp bonfire in winter at the fire circle a highlight., we invited hosts and really enjoyed meeting and conversing. Off the beaten path and worth it …. Bordering the National Forest.
My son and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin and the surrounding creeks, rivers and lake. Everything went as planned. We met our hosts Tom n Shannon and shared some stories and learned a thing or two about the area. Loved the area so much we’re putting full court pressure on our spouses to possibly move up that way. They have a dog named Spencer and he became our best friend whenever we were on site. I truly miss Spencer. A truly wonderful time. Thank you Tom n Shannon. Say hey and a belly rub to Spence for me.
The cabin was quiet and relaxing, but not as remote and private as the listing made it seem. The cabin is located on the same property as the hoast, between the main house and the storage buildings. I was hoping for more privacy. Lightening Creek was about a quarter mile away. The cabin was clean, at a basic level, but was in need of a regular deep cleaning and dusting and there were ware items in need of repair and ongoing maintenence. We felt the total nightly fee, was expensive for what we got. However, our experie ce with the hoast was good. They were easy to reach when needed.
This was such a great little getaway cabin, and one where you could do as much as you wanted to do, or to do nothing but relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery and all the water activities on the lake including fishing and boating. It was exactly as described, and one of the first rentals in a long time where everything was in good working condition and no problems whatsoever. The cabin is extremely well stocked with the kitchen essentials and everything that you need to make your stay comfortable. The host family was extremely responsive to any questions that I had and were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again, and already looking forward to going back there next fall. If you’re looking to unwind, and to enjoy nature and hiking, than this is a perfect place. The town of Clark Fork is very small and not a lot to do, but there’s a small grocery market and several places to eat . The host family also put together a very informative binder that’s at the cabin that will list out things to do and places to eat in the surrounding towns. There is little to no cell phone reception anywhere in the town, but when you connect to the Wi-Fi at the cabin, you were able to send and receive text messages. Also, don’t forget that Clark Fork is in Pacific standard time if you’re coming in from the east.
We absolutely loved our stay in this peaceful beautiful place. There are so many places to hike close by the cabin. Check out Char Falls if you just want a pretty drive with a waterfall at the end of a very easy walk. We also went to Bull Lake in Montana which is so worth the about 45 minute drive. Make sure to stop for dinner at the Halfway House if you do go to Bull Lk. If you have a boat or paddle board it’s a beautiful lake with the mountains around you. The Ross Cedars are definitely worth going to as well & out that way. And don’t skip the Johnsons boat launch in Clark Fork which is also lovely to paddle from.
The cabin itself was super clean & had most everything we needed for our week long stay. There isn’t a dishwasher so if you are like me & not into doing a ton of dishes on vacation bring a few paper plates. The star gazing in the evening from the covered front porch is amazing. There is a giant fire pit but we didn’t use it since it was so warm. The creek itself was dry at the end of summer. You can see it from the cabin & must be lovely in springtime. We did not need the loft beds but I did enjoy doing yoga up there on one rainy morning. You can go for walks right out the door which my dog loved. The owners have a couple dogs as well who came by to say hi. Our young dog is a rescue cattle dog who’s a bit nervous & bossy at the same time but she actually did play with Cash the younger pup a few times. He’s a sweetheart. Drive careful as there are a lot of deer & wild turkeys. We heard from a local a Cougar was spotted close by & I did find some bear poop on a hike. Just be aware of your surroundings as you out in nature. We had such a relaxing time & truly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for solitude in a gorgeous setting. We hope to come back in the future!
The cabin was spectacular! Everything we needed. Everything was spotless. I was looking for a place to take my daughter and my two grand daughters for a mountain get away and this met all the needs. The little ones had room to play safely inside and out. Its a short drive to the local beaches which were very nice and clean as well. Spencer, the resident Labrador was very much enjoyed by the girls as well.
The home was a perfect spot for us to hang out for the weekend. The accommodations were just as expected. Great property with close proximity to fishing, hiking, and water fun.
We had a great stay in the cabin. All of the conveniences and very comfortable beds. We loved the tour guides, Spencer and Cash. They always greeted us with smiles and were happy to show us around.
