"Wemtend to be bottom feeders, so stayed in Griante rather than Bellagio. Our hotel turned out to be, not a hotel, but a two bedroom apartment with a great view of the lake. Apparently the Como Vita has places all over Griante. We had to follow a guide, by car, for about five minutes from the check-in spot to get to this place high up the hill, then another 30 steps from the street up to the great spot. "We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "
