"Honestly I really enjoyed this hostel although apparently it changed owners between my booking and staying so it was hard to find. Lol. But this is not a typical bounce hostel, it used to be a Selina's so the facilities are a lot better than you would normally get in a Bounce hostel. "I had my stay for 4 nights (Including NYE) and the experience was pretty good. A clean place, comfortable bed (In a 16 shared room), the external noise was unperceivable inside the room, the hostel offers some stuff for breakfast such as cereal, milk, tea, coffee, bread, and enough kitchen facilities to cook during the allowed times. "Well run and clean property with few signs of wear and tear despite high usage. Bathrooms were clean and air-circulation was good. Only the kitchen ficilities let things down slightly due to high usage (taps loose in their fittings, communal scouring pads need more frequent replacement - one microwave was inoperable). "St Kilda East Backpackers. We walked in, not one to book us in, not that that mattered, we couldn't stay there. smelt like dead rats, worse than if you pictured a hovel. We rang the owner, and Wotif rang the owner. Both responses were if people want a clean place to stay, they should go somewhere else. I would be very surprised if Wotif allow this hostel to book through them ever again."

"The air filters for the air cons were extremely filthy preventing the air cons from working. We had to clean them ourselves. There were several huntsmen spiders we had to kill. One of the aircons in the house didn’t turn on at all. Communication with property manager was slow and not helpful. Some random friends of the owner came onto the property thinking it was vacant. The floors needed more thorough cleaning. The outside of the property needed to be cleaned of leaves, wasp nests and abundance...

"Very clean for a hostel type accommodation. convenient location. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm with private bathroom, so can;t comment on the bigger dorms. YMMA It was rather loud thou on a sat night. Not sure whether the noise was from its own pub or somewhere else. there was only 1 double electrical outlet to serve 4 of us, thus knocking 1 star off the amenities rating."
