A historic home in the heart of Park Hills

Welcome to Devou Park Cottage, a historic home in the heart of Park Hills, right at the edge of Devou Park, with Downtown Cincinnati just across the Ohio River. Enjoy nature trails for hiking and biking through the park with epic views of the Cincinnati skyline as your reward, only minutes from your door.

Entering the home’s front door, you’ll be greeted by the modern living area decorated with calming neutral tones. The perfect place to relax and unwind, a sectional couch faces the large smart tv where you can stream movies and shows on YouTube TV or your personal streaming accounts. A brightly lit alcove is furnished with desk and chair, so work-from-home travelers have a semi-private space to take meetings and complete projects.

Further inside, the fully equipped kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, and cookware for convenient meals at home, which can be shared at the dining table for 4.

This home sleeps 2 guests in 1 private bedroom furnished with a queen size bed.

THINGS TO NOTE:
- The home has 1 bathroom with shower/tub combo.
- Parking available for 1 vehicle in the driveway. Additional parking on the street.
- This is a ground-level unit. It is a duplex. Apt 1 is on the first floor of the building.

Just across the Ohio River from the Bengals Stadium, Riverfront Park, and Great American Ballpark, Devou Park Cottage is within easy reach of some of Cincinnati’s most popular attractions. Beyond this area, there’s still so much more to explore. From Cincinnati’s street art revolution which has transformed neighborhoods with 180+ public murals, to its serious beer culture, revitalized historic neighborhoods with trendy shopping and dining like Over-the-Rhine, and authentic Art Deco architecture and design, this culturally diverse city is a can’t-miss destination.

Back on the Kentucky side of the river, you’re in prime Bourbon Trail territory. Check out distilleries and sipping points where you can sample Northern Kentucky’s bourbon, often paired with traditional southern foods. No matter what you decide to explore, one thing is for certain. The Cincinnati metropolitan area has no shortage of experiences to try during your stay at Devou Park Cottage.

Quaint property in an Amazing Neighborhood
This property was perfect for our 2 week stay to visit family in Greater Cincinnati. This area of Park Hills is beautiful, quiet, and very enjoyable. The location is perfect to access Cincinnati, Noethern Kentucky and other surrounding areas with a short commute.

Nice Stay
Great location, quiet neighborhood, and was convenient for our Cincinnati plans. Checking in was a smooth process and it had more than what we needed for our stay. Would book again.

Minor issues with stay
1) response times via VRBO direct messaging were relatively slow with this professional host, especially for time-sensitive questions. 2) on the night of 6/24/2023, the guests in the upstairs unit (consisting of five adults) were quite noisy and disruptive until well beyond the start of sleeping hours (noisy til approx 2 a.m.), making it difficult to sleep. 3) the bathroom lavatory was slow to drain and requires plumbing service. 4) the tub/shower drain valve lever can be moved to OPEN but when force is removed from the handle, it reverts to CLOSED, making showers impractical. Should be serviced by a plumber, so that the drain valve stays in last position.

How to enjoy life
Crystal. The front desk clerk came over and fixed my coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, but in actuality, there was nothing wrong with it. I was just pushing the buttons in the wrong sequence. Crystal also pointed out to me that there was nothing wrong with the lightbulbs in the dining room, but that I had the dimmer on low, and I’ve never seen a dimmer so small by the light switch before and that’s why I hadn’t seen it and thank the God for Crystal And Crystal also pointed out to me that when they said they have Beth but they did not mean to kinda go in the bathtub the rubber kind but that’s the kind you stepped onto when you get out of the bathtub and in fact, they did have the best bed in the unit bathmat in the unit if I could give this property 10 stars would but there was only five stars so I only gave it five stars so get Crystal‘s phone number it’s in the email. It begins with 513 and when you get there just start calling or any little thing. You have a problem her and she’ll be able to help you if you even come over there if she hast to come over there and fix it , OK that’s enough. I think you get a picture if you got any sense and I know you do or you would not have read this or please please stay at this VRBO like I did it make yourself happy like I am thank you.

An Echo Chamber
Great neighborhood. Clean apartment. Could be a little more completely furnished with carpeting. Would like to have had a working television with local channels and cable TV access. When the second floor was occupied, you could hear their noises from walking and could smell their kitchen odors. Great access to Devou Park. A great price, much less than for a hotel room with more space and a kitchen. A small amount of water collected on the bathroom floor between the toilet and the bathtub, but I could not determine the source. May be a leak from the base of the toilet. Owner could have supplied dishwasher detergent or dish cloth and dish towell.

Close to attractions, quiet neighborhood
Check in was easy! If we had a question the host was quick to respond! It was a beautiful neighborhood and easy to get to Cincinnati for activities! Our only suggestion would be to add a few items to the kitchen to make cooking easier (glass baking dish for example). Overall, it was great and we were very happy with it!! Thank you for letting us stay!
