"Room was small, no air conditioning so had to try to sleep with window open. People smoking and talking outside until early hours of morning so very little sleep. There was an odour which we believe was coming from full rubbishy the bins close by. "

"Maybe it was my fault but I did not realise there were communal showers and toilets. You have to pay for a towel-small charge. The bed was the worst I have ever slept in-it appeared to be a solid piece of foam. The wifi stopped working in the morning and was not repaired. The staff do not speak english and did nothing about the wifi. Maybe you get for you pay for!"

"i was given the warmest welcome imaginable after a trying day. a glass of wine and a bowl of delicious homemade soup, all in the excellent company of my hosts. the room was adorable and comfortable, and although my stay was short, it was restorative and memorable. i highly recommend this lovely place and its charming hosts!"

"this is a tidy little studio, with the necessary tools to make simple food, a very comfortable bed and good shower with organic soap and shampoo. there was an error in my welcome information so the code didn't work. i called the hosts and was properly redirected. the apartment is austere; like a hotel room, but there's a Nespresso coffee maker and a couple of capsules (not pods) to welcome you, which was appreciated. it is on a quiet street, adjacent to a commercial street where there are cafés,...

"Nous avions réservé par le biais de hôtel.com comme nous allions au puy du fou. Le b&b n'est qu'à 26 kms donc nickel. La remise des clefs étant entre 18h et 21h, nous avions téléphoné le matin même à partir de 9h pour voir s'il était possible d'avoir la remise des clefs avant exceptionnellement. Nous avons appelé au moins 10 fois, sachant que le petit déjeuné était jusqu'à 9h30 ça pouvait le faire. Personne n'a daigné nous répondre. "It was bearable, but more roach motel than hotel. Dark and dingy room at the back overlooking a swamp-like swimming pool and AC units. Bed reasonably comfortable, pillows (or rather pillow) dreadful. Inconveniently separate toilet and bathroom. Breakfast not worth the money really, but the coffee was nice. Host was agreeable and friendly. Sadly this was the only place we could find as most were fully booked. Next time, I’ll look more in advance and get something better. "

"This is literally a chateau away from mainstream tourists, yet close enough to be one yourself. While the actual building shows some of the charm of its age, the staff make you truly feel special and at home."
