"Stayed for one night because my husband had a business meeting in Pirna. March is clearly off season - a great time to enjoy the gorgeous view of the Elbe River in peace and quiet. Our room was spacious and clean, with that gorgeous view and a huge balcony. The bathroom had enough room to keep our toiletries in there. I really appreciated the extra magnifying mirror and ampel towels. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Traditional local specialties, full meals and snack options. Enjoyed a glass of the local wine while soaking in the soothing river view. The main dining room has a great small collection of Saxon Switzerland art. The next morning we savored the nice hot and cold breakfast buffet served in the medieval breakfast room. The hotel staff was very understanding, and let me store my bag there while I used my free ferry card (included in room price) to cross the river for a shopping walk around historic Pirna. Plenty to see and do, and lovely cafes and restaurants. Already planning our next trip. "

"The hotel is beautiful, all the areas are clean. The staff was nice, helpful and fast. Everything is perfect except the soundproofing of the room. I've been woken up in the next room since 4:30. You can hear absolutely everything, including small noises such as the mobile phone charger being pulled out of the socket. Putting things on the table, etc..."

"It was a clean, comfortable place. The only negatives were that breakfast was meager but ok and at 4 am the food truck came and there was so much noise transporting the food to the hotel. It woke us up. Also, the water in our room wasn’t as hot as it should have been. "

This category of hotel usually offers tea/coffee facilities in the room- keep this standard 2.The bed was quite uncomfortable- two single mattresses of poor quality . On a king or queen bed- put a matching mattress not two put together "

"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful area! Hardly easily accessible, but worth the climb into the Erzgebirge! Facilities all shiny and new; rooms very nice. I think, however, that they made a big mistake by setting up an electronic order menu in the restaurant. It’s just exactly like McDonald’s: you make your selections on an electronic board and pay at the board. Everything is ala carte. Then you take your beverages out of a cooler and grab a bottle opener. Tap beer, for some reason, still has to be ordered at the bar and paid in cash. Meals are delivered to the table on a plastic tray—- just likeMcDonalds. Way to ruin a rustic hotel experience!!!"
