Pretty cottage, not much hot water and could have been cleaner. I would not book again.
Pretty cottage, although sadly very poor hot water system (even with the immersion heater on) which meant you could not have a bath and even two showers were a challenge. The cleaning was not good either, dead flies on the window sill / seat in the master bedroom. All the window sills inside the cottage were also very dirty and cobwebs all over the place.

Wonderful stay in a magical place
Tythe Barn Cottage is a perfect spot for a weekend break or longer stay. The cottage has everything you need to be comfortable and cosy. The kitchen was well-equipped, the living area and bedroom well-furnished plus the bathroom was functional and clean. To wake up in the morning with the sun streaming through the window made a perfect start to our Saturday! Two very small suggestions for improvement: the handle on the cupboard to the left of the oven was missing when we arrived (carefully placed inside the cupboard). This made opening the cupboard quite difficult and as it had the saucepans in it was needed quite a lot. It would be good to get that repaired. Also, though we very much appreciated having some 'starter' logs for a fire on the Friday evening we had to go out and find some more for Saturday. There was nothing in the folder about where to buy them but we got some information from a lovely neighbour so managed. However, I'd be happy to pay a bit more initially (or have this as an option when making payment in order to have enough wood for two fires and not have to worry about this on our precious Saturday.

Beautiful little cottage
We had a wonderful few nights at Tythe Barn Cottage. The place is small but perfectly formed. The kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed to cook dinner, including salt, pepper and oil to cook with! There were lots of fresh towels and an ironing board to use. The stable door was great as we could contain our dog but let some fresh air in and the garden was secure for our dog which was a worry less. We managed to sit in the evening sun a couple of nights which was lovely. It’s on-street parking but we managed to park relatively near the cottage which was handy. The only negatives were 1. cleanliness - the windows needed a good clean inside and out and there were cobwebs everywhere. 2. The main double bed: it had a duvet cover on the mattress instead of a fitted sheet, which wouldn’t stay on, making it a bit uncomfortable. There was also a thick duvet on the bed which was a bit heavy for the summer, meaning we were hot at night. A fan would’ve been good to cool us down as it was a bit stuffy in the warm weather. 3. The garden needed a bit of attention. The plants in the hanging baskets were dead and the gravelled area where the table and chairs were needed weeding. All in all, we had a lovely stay and we would stay at the property again.
