Great, comfy space
The location is great. The space was comfortable and had everything we needed, plus extras. The rear porch was heavily utilized for morning coffee watching wildlife over the water (lots of birds, deer, and a visit from a muskrat) and evening relaxing. We crabbed and fished off the little dock, enjoyed home cooked meals and naps on the hammock. This home is not new. It’s not fancy. It’s exactly as advertised. If you’re looking for bells and whistles, stay elsewhere and pay more. If you want a quaint space to accommodate a large family that’s comfortable, affordable, and fun, this is for you.

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful time! Yes the property is an older double wide mobile home but It was cozy and comfortable and clean. Plenty of space inside and outside with all the amenities. It’s situated right next to a small body of water and we were able to fish and catch crabs. We would definitely stay there again!

Home Away From Home
Found this place and knew it was where we had to go for a long GIRLS WEEKEND! This was a true home. We had the sense that we were visiting friends. The family who owns this home has decorated it with love and memories of family times together. Thank you for sharing that with your guests.

Glorious Sun Porch
Even when the weather was terrible, the sun porch was cozy and heated. The kitchen was well-stocked for lots of cooking and the rest of the space was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.

Beach vacation
A great location for an active Chincoteague vacation. Close to town boat/kayak launch… pony swim lane.. fairgrounds.. and a short drive onto Assateague Island. House was clean and well stocked with vacation essentials.. don’t like a home personalized with knickknacks? Stay at a holiday inn… the AC was cold and the shower was hot! We had a great time!

Similar to online dating… NOT like their profile pics
Waaay over priced for what it is! Don’t be deceived. This property is an aging trailer house. The VBRO pics make it look well lit, bright, open, and clean. This is not the case. It’s dark, old, not remodeled, and original. There are several soft spots on the floor, the bathroom doors in the master bedroom have a bungee cord to hold them shut, the shower in the master is spungie and I would guess has a rotten floor under the tub unit. The shower liners have orange mold around the bottoms and haven’t been changed. The mattress covers were ripped and stained. The AC struggled to keep things cool. The fridge smelled of crab and fish and needed a deep clean. It needs an ant treatment as they were prolific. Overall cleanliness was upon entry was poor. No linens. None. Little details like dead batteries in the remote controls, dead or ailing plants outside, board games with pieces missing, and etc. These are huge things but don’t advertise them if they aren’t correct. The location is great and the canal and porches were quite nice, but some of the seat cushions were missing. Complete disappointment to say the least. Very misrepresented. I would have expected to pay half to a third of what they charged to spend a vacation in this old outdated trailer. I have no idea how the reviews for this property are so good… I hate being this negative and typically don’t leave reviews on anything I do or buy, but I don’t want other families to make this mistake

Great location, adequate house
The location on a creek is lovely. Because of weather and the time of year, we didn't spend any time enjoying the porch overlooking the creek. One plus is they have actual cable tv on 3 tvs in the property, not just streaming, so we got live news. Stairs are necessary to access the property, since the foundation is raised to avoid flooding. Chincoteague is flat and at sea level, this is not a complaint. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, glassware and dishes. The house itself appears to be an old mobile home. It could use some repair and updating. The screen door to the porch doesn't latch and is held together with duct tape, and initial access to the property is through the master bedroom. Bathrooms are very dated, switch plates old and rusty.. Ceilings have some cracks and flakes. Everything did work properly, however, so old and dated really is tolerable, just not desirable. We were charged for damage protection, the condition of the property didn't warrant that. The two larger beds were reasonably comfortable, we didn't use the twins. Our only annoyance is the laundry and cleaning policy. We had to bring our own sheets and towels. What if we were flying across the country to get there? If you don't bring linens, they charge $25 to supply linens and then require that you do the laundry before you leave. There is not time to do all the laundry before you leave and still make your flight or have enough time for a long drive. So either way causes a problem. The cleaning instructions upon our departure were detailed and we felt excessive since we were still charged a cleaning fee and asked to tip the cleaners. Nothing against the cleaning crew, the place was as clean as it was possible to make it when we got there. The price was reasonable, but I would have rather paid more and had a property in better condition and not be nickeled and dimed over the sheets and towels.

Will Not Be Coming Back
This property is super old and everything inside and out is very outdated. From the carpeting, kitchen appliances, beds, and couches - old and smelly. The plus is that everything seemed to be in a working order. However, we will not be staying in this house again.

Lovely getaway
The house was large enough we could get away from each other. I was impressed with the quiet on the four-season porch, and the feathered residents on the canal behind the house. It was a perfectly lovely getaway for a long weekend. I just wish I could have stayed longer.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The view and wildlife was beautiful. The location is perfect. My only complaint is that guests are required to wash towels, wash clothes and bed linen at the end of the trip. That made the last day of a relaxing vacation stressful.

Pleasant Quiet Convenient
This property is located in an idyllic, scenic area. the facilities were clean and centrally located for easy access to all activities: beach, fishing, shopping, etc. The one odd thing about it is that the master bedroom door is the most accessible entry to the property off the enclosed porch, although there were plenty of other door/entry options, just not as convenient. We especially enjoyed sitting on the enclosed porch at any time of day and enjoying the view.

Our family had a very relaxing week in Chincoteague. We enjoyed the crabbing and fishing behind the house. Grew fond of the beautiful egret that came each night to catch his dinner.
