A WONDERFUL GET AWAY!!!
In early fall, we arrived to this very sweet and beautifully decorated home. It has everything we signed up for ... convenience to Chincoteague Island, beautiful views from back deck, screened in porch with swing (!), well stocked kitchen, books and games for "down times" and the layout was amazing for privacy! We loved our stay here and would definitely rent this home again! We would like to Thank Audra Swain for offering her sweet home on Home Away! She was also helpful with suggestions on locations we might to to eat. We tried them and loved the food we selected. Chincoteague Island is such a quaint wonderful area. If you are planning a trip to the area, I would suggest you rent from Audra! You'll make memories to share for a lifetime!!

Island Cottage
We had a great stay and enjoyed the views and amenities. The town is such a throwback in the best way and the beaches are phenomenal. The house was clean comfortable and well outfitted. This is a beach type cottage that was a great launching point for our adventures.

Beautiful Home
We loved the house, it was very scenic, beautifully decorated, and equipped nicely with all the comforts of home. I would definitely stay at this beautiful home again. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful property. My only disappointment was that we had to leave to go back to the grind!

Nice Vacation Home
We enjoyed our stay at Crabby Chic! The layout of the house was perfect. The upstairs bedrooms were very quiet - people playing games downstairs could not be heard in the upstairs bedrooms. We really enjoyed the decks.

great spot for a family vacation
Our family of 5 spent a week in early August at this house. It was in a lovely location, with beautiful sunsets, dock for crabbing and an easy bike ride to town. There was ample living space and bathrooms and sleeping quarters. We could have used an additional bedroom instead of the living space but we were fine. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils but the space was a bit tight for working. The house was relatively clean and well-furnished. It was not necessary but helpful with a couple of rainy days to have Satellite TV and strong WI-fi. Great trip thank you!

Beautifully located house on small island with excellent views of the bay and Chincoteague.
We enjoyed this beautiful house with gorgeous views in very quiet location right on the water. The outlook on top of the house was a favorite retreat. The house was very clean and well equipped. After extensive walks on the beach with brisk winds, we enjoyed returning to this cozy home to relax and recover.

Property was quaint and well thought out! A rare gem!
We didn't realize the location of the property, but upon arrival, we were super excited to find out it is situated right on the point overlooking the bridge. This quaint, well thought out home is all we anticipated and more. Even though Hurricane Matthew put a damper on part of our plans, our long weekend was a great time to enjoy family and the wonderful town. We were able to see the Fall Roundup and take a boat tour around the island and see both herds of horses. Thank you Audra for sharing your wonderful home with us and for being so prompt when we needed questions answered.

A home away from home , except better
The minute we walked in we felt at home. The house had so much character and the views were incredible. The weather was not so great -rainy and windy- but the front porch was a haven. We had to motivate to leave crabby chic to go into town. Wished we could use the dock more but due to weather and our toddler it was not ideal... Would love to go back when we can. We saw a lot of rentals on our trip and this one was unique in its setting. Tons of charm. You can easily bike into town. And it's a great launching place for kayaked and paddle boarding off the dock. Thanks to the owners for sharing this great place.

Enjoyed our stay!
We really did have a fabulous time staying at Crabby Chic! The house was perfect for our stay on Chincoteague. We caught crab from the dock at the house (we brought our own crab pots, though there are pots provided at the house). We loved all of the decks and water views, including the screened front porch. My husband went kayaking from the dock. We stayed with our two young kids and things worked out great. We brought a baby gate to put up on the back deck to keep our small kids away from the water (we used the ratchet straps from the kayak to attach it since the opening was a bit wide), though the other two decks/porches were great for the little kids. The place was beautiful and we loved the widow's watch. Great windows, views and location. We plan to stay there again!
