"I was looking for a retreat, in nature and close to good hiking, and this was perfect. There is a long, lovely walk on the property down to Talladega Creek, and it's also just a few minutes from the Pinhoti. The cabin itself was comfortable and cozy warm, even when temps fell to the teens. Maggie was conscientiously helpful and gracious."

"We plan a girls trip every year. This was a perfect place for it. Enjoyed hiking and sitting around the camp fire. The house porches were very spacious and the scenery was gorgeous. Our favorite was the little grass island in the middle of the lake. We went out everyday to enjoy the sun and play games. We try somewhere different every year but would definitely go back here again. out every day and "

We enjoyed hiking at Oak Mountain State Park and the Dunnavant Greenway.Plenty of restaurants nearby.David was a great host - good advice for hiking locations. "We traveled here with some very unpleasant weather(tornadoes) at the beginning of our trip/stay. Stacy was super understanding and worked with us. The communication was exceptional. She is also on the nearby property, so if we needed help with anything she was able to help.It was very quiet and peaceful out here. My wife and kids enjoyed the fire pit and friendly property dog(loved belly rubs). Sitting out at the fire pit and enjoying the quiet under the starry night sky was relaxing. It's a...

"Cool little home. Very quiet area. The host has plates, pots and pans, and little odd and end items to make sure you have everything for your stay. Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area. "
