This was a perfect stay for our weekend trip. Cute and cozy, and a beautiful stream behind the house and the property has an interesting history. Would stay again.

Our family really enjoyed the house and property.
It's in the perfect location and everything is so well cared for .
We will definitely stay here again..
This a perfect property to relax. You are close enough to the stores and restaurants, yet its set in an area away from the busy town. Downtown is a short distance away and it is a quaint little town that is peaceful to walk in. Our family will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area Reasonably priced and easy check-in.

Great location
Everything was as described and I loved the location. The property was well maintained and the whole house clean with the exception of the grill off the deck.
So peaceful beautiful everything is right there we only left to go to store and out to eat. We had small birthday party for my sister and this was just the perfect place. Not one complaint. We didn't want to leave. We went to the battlefield museum it was awesome 💯 we may book longer next year.
This place was more then what we expected. The home was cozy and a welcoming feeling. The view of the mill was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. If I was to rate on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 10 x 20. We are planning on staying here again for our summer vacation. The price was just a added bonus.
everything was as expected. disappointed in the water pressure of showers. wasnt aware of providing our own laundry soap. only enough there for one load.

Nice getaway
I believe the online summary was a bit overrated! It says you can swim, fish and kayak yet there are signs posted that tell you none of that is allowed. We were also led to believe the mill was open and running for tours but it indeed was not. It is empty buildings.
It was a nice place and we would definitely consider staying again. We just had higher hopes due to what we read online
Loved this house and would rent again! The river right there makes sitting out on that deck such a joy in the morning with coffee or at sunset with a glass of wine. The teenagers loved it and it was close enough to go into Chattanooga easily for activities. We cooked every day in the kitchen without any problems. There id a Food Lion a few blocks away with everything you need and they do have pickup so I pre-ordered before we came! It is attached to a Mill and museum but itvwas a holdiay weekend and it was barely noticeable. Entry was easy too. Plenty of towels, 3 TVs (if you even use them which we barely did), wi-fi and even built in chargers in the living room and bedrooms.
Couldnt ask for anything more!
This little house was perfect for our family trip to Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium! A pleasant 20 min drive from each wasn't bad at all. We found some good little local restaurants in the area and enjoyed walking down to the little river on the property. The house was clean and just the right size for our family of 6 (4 adults, a teen and a baby)
My only suggestions would be to add some black out curtains for the bedrooms that face the road so headlights don't shine in at night. A full size coffee pot would be nice too. With 4 coffee drinkers in our family the little 4 cup pot wasn't ideal.
The host was quick to respond and accommodating when I asked for an early check in since we were traveling with an infant. We would definitely stay here again.
My 14 year old son and I stayed here for his baseball tournament and it was fantastic! His tournament was in East Ridge at Camp Jordan Park which was 16 minutes away and the traffic was not bad at all. There is a great bbq restaurant just down the street, a food lion across the street, and so many food choices and a Walmart less than 15 minutes away. My son loves fishing so the creek was an added bonus. It is so quiet, peaceful, and clean. Everything was super nice and comfortable. The only suggestion I would have would be more outdoor lighting but that is literally it. This place is literally perfect and the host and maintenance guy are top notch!! You definitely will not be disappointed. It was our first time visiting Tennessee and we loved it so much :)
Pros: Very close to Chattanooga for Zoo, Aquarium, Creative Discovery, Hamilton Place Mall and other local activites. Most lengthy commute was 28 minutes. Well kept home, perfect AC, reliable hot water (3 people back to back), washing machine and dryer are huge and quiet, easy to find with paved driveway.
Areas to Improve: Personally, we like firm beds. These beds are much softer, and have quite a bit of give to them (our wgt. ranges 160-215). Would have been nicer to have queen bed in the master bedroom, but I dont think the space would have alloted it. Remove wasps nest in corner of porch near patio side and under the patio. Two of us are highly allergic, so we weren't able to enjoy the side patio.
Cons: The home sits next to small running creek which has vistors quite often, not big issue, but did have to double check our car doors were locked because some kids came up to the car trying to open the doors. So be mindful as parking is shared with visitors access.
Basic accommodations for a decent value in a unique and historic location.
We enjoyed our family stay. The grounds are great and we liked the area a lot. It's close to a few restaurants and
a large grocery store. The reason for 4 stars out of 5 are a few small things that I would have liked to have known before booking. It was very clean, except for the very light colored couch which was very stained and a bit dingy. The kitchen did not contain enough silverware, dishwasher tabs, or any basic pantry items like salt and pepper, sugar, coffee filters etc. There was also no shampoo or conditioner In either bathroom. The lights and street noise is present, so it is not a remote country location. I would not recommend having a group of more than 4 people due to the layout and furniture /small bed choices. Overall, I would recommend it for the area, but please just be aware of the things you will need to bring including some nice fluffy pillows if you don't like sleeping on very cheap flat ones. If these small improvements were made , it would go a long way.
If you are looking for a place secluded and in the country this isn’t it but it worked good for our family. Kids enjoyed the creek behind the house. It is Convenient to restaurants. Make sure to check out the Battlefield of Chickamauga visitor center just 4 miles away too. Only complaint need more pans to cook with
Property was quiet very peaceful just the way we like it. But there were a few things that needs improvement like the couch was not clean. There was dirt underneath the cushions. We couldn't make the grill work. The outside cooler was not clean and There was clothes left behind in the master bedroom chest.
From the time we arrived until the time we left we had no complaints at all. Yes it’s an historical site so you may see people from time to time visiting the mill, but no one ever bothered us. I do recommend buying so tubes from Walmart ($6) and floating from the Mill to the shallow area (approx. 50 yards) just to have some fun which the kids and adults loved it. Close restaurants, grocery store, and fast food places nearby which was also a plus. Very peaceful at night while sitting back on the deck and there’s a grill on the deck as well. Would stay there again !
The house is cute. Just big enough for my family of 4. We had a few issues but the management handled it promptly. one issue I didn’t care for is that the side door is all glass and there’s nothing covering it. The rental is in a park and people come and go all day and night. It would be great to have a blind there. We didn’t mind the visitors. Every one was nice!
The main problem I had is that the entire porch area was infested with chiggers. The owner said he would spray but unfortunately It wouldn’t have helped our visit in time. Hopefully for the next family they will be gone.
I would recommend the place and would stay again!
