vestry hotel
hotel was in a good location minites from town centre, with bus and train stations near by good size room clean and comfortable, check in was straight forward staff were friendly and helpful and you can park your car at the rear of the hotel over night free of charge. the hotel supply a ticket for that as its a public car park breakfast is included, I would stay there again .

Surprisingly excellent
Pleasantly surprised after having been checked in in a busy bar - the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. If you 're planning on exploring Chichester then this place is ideally suited. The bar looks good fun if you're wanting a drink and a first rate breakfast is served in the morning. The only downsides are the car parking and the fact that our room faced a bar across an alleyway (couldn't hear any noise from the Vestry's bar though!). Staff are friendly and helpful and the only negative to say about the place is that it was quite pricey for something that doesn't have full hotel facilities although by all accounts I was there on a Goodwood weekend so not sure if this had inflated the price.

A cultural break
It would have been useful to have been given a plan showing how to get to the car park. The verbal instructions for going round the one way road system were not clear to someone unfamiliar with Chichester. It took us ages as the outskirts of the city seems to be full of car parks and oneway systems. It was also a hassle moving the car to the multi storey park during the day in order to avoid the £8 charge. The other complaint was the luke warm coffee served from a thermos flask at breakfast. A better way of serving hotter and better quality coffee should be instituted.However the rest of the breakfast was good. On the plus side there was a very helpful young man who helped sort out our problems and the hotel was very well situated, within easy walking distance of places of interest in the centre of the city. I would stay there again but without the car as it is in easy reach of the train station.

very good size room clean and modern with great location a short walk into town, breakfast was excellent. live music on friday and saturday nights was not really a problem as you could only just hear it in our room.

Good stay unless you go to bed early
Big room, good facilities and comfortable bed, tasty breakfats, close to the centre of Chichester - overall good value. Only downside is loud live music in the bar but it stopped at exactly 11 p.m. (Thursday night).

The Vestry Hotel, Chichester.
Finding the Hotel for a first-timer is not that easy, even with satnav, so clear and concise directions would be helpful. However, once found parking is easy and the Hotels is conveniently situated close to the town centre shops and the Theatre is only a 10-15 minute walk. The bar is lively which suited us but if it is the quiet life you want it may be best to check about music nights beforehand. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and will return the next time we visit Chichester.

Excellent at the Vestry
Was working at Goodwood race course was conveniently located just 10 minutes drive and hotel supplied parking voucher. Very nice large rooms, great pub underneath run by very friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Would definitely stay there again if I was in the area for business or pleasure.

Lovely stay
Really enjoyed our stay at the Vestry Inn. They were very helpful and let us check in early when we arrived. Room was lovely - four-poster bed, which we weren't expecting. They do have live music on Friday nights, which we could hear from our room, but it stopped at 11.30 so it wasn't a problem and we couldn't hear any other noise from the bar. Breakfast was nice, although not great for vegetarians - when I asked for scrambled egg without bacon, it still came with, so they had to make it again - but the owner did come over and apologise, and it was nice when it arrived. Overall, a lovely stay and would def book again if I was ever in Chichester.

Good location - reasonably priced
Good hotel in a good location. The breakfast was very good and at the price I paid it was very good value. the only thing that let the place down was the bed. I was in room 11 and the four poster bed in there was very uncomfortable. Otherwise, I would recommend this place.
